Hi All,
So I am driving along using my Tilt with Garmin mobile when all of a sudden, the Tilt switches back to the home page and then immediately after goes into standby mode. I then have to power the Tilt back on and switch to the Garmin application to continue - not fun while you are driving!
Anyone using the Garmin Mobile XT experience this symptom and can offer any help on how to get around this?
Thanks in advance.
Vin.

If you are using a car charger, check you dont have the device set to auto-turn off after xxx mins on power.
Garmin Mobile XT will only keep the device powered (when not using a charging cable) if a route is planned in. If you are just monitoring your movements on battery, it will go into standby.
With the amount of power the phone uses with GPS on, it is best to use a car charger. :)

Thanks for the feedback. I should have stated in my original post that I was actually plugged into a car charger and was heading to a destination with a planned route. I did check my power settings and I actually have the phone not to power off after xxx minutes.
Any other areas I can check?
Cheers,
Vin.

The "Backlight Override" option is not checked - do I check it and if so, what does this do?
Also, the Today Timeout is unchecked. Do I need to make this a particular value?
Thanks in advance.
