Hey all..
There is a similar thread started sometimes back asking for feedback on which 6.1 rom one is using and why! That post seems to have died prematurely. Now with Dutty's much awaited 6.1 rom is out I think this thread can benefit a lot.
As the title.. after reading the threads of the various 6.1 roms.. Dutty's, DKs, Alex's, Sleuths... etc. they are all having one or more bugs/issues... Please share YOUR views with which ROM is running most stable for you and what are the bugs/glitches you're still experiencing.
Recommended format: Phone version/carrier, ROM cook/version, Radio version... and which one tried and had more bugs than the one you have now. (usual format everyone uses anyways)
[Update: Feb 17, 08 (30 minutes into the post)]: PLEASE refrain from stating issues that are most commonly being experienced and discussed, the obvious ones like lack of sound/volume etc. which is most likely from having wrong/incompatible radio... now if the volume/sound issue persists even after you've flashed the right radio as per the cook.. then it should be shared here.
I've personally installed DCS V1.5 WM6.1 and reported numerous bugs, which seemed to be isolated to my Tilt only as Johan shared but ever since I'm very confused as to which one to get. Ofcourse, I can download one each day and see for myself which will work best, but unfortunately, I use this phone good 10 working hours a day, 6 days a week on the "field", using its various functions for productivity and only get time on Sundays and nights to play with it... therefore, I felt this thread will be a better approach and is sure to benefit a lot.. I hope.
At&t Tilt -
Dutty's DualTouch V4 currently.
Radio: 1.27.12.11
DCS v1.5 WM6.1 - very buggy (lag/top-bar vanishing in dialpad/freeze issues) - un-flashed.

Apparently, you didn't read the entire thread or even the first three posts. If you had used the search or read the dutty thread, you would know that you need a 6.1 radio to use Dutty's or Sleuth's 6.1 roms. The problem with no sound has also been asked at least 20 times in the dutty thread as well.

I agree with eagle1.. I should've specified that lack of sound/volume related bugs should be first thoroughly searched and then shared as most likely they are due to incompatible radio..
Also, please try and post ONLY when you've tried troubleshooting the problem through either posting about it in the cook's original thread or have searched for it somewhere else and it still didn't get fixed.
I'm hoping that all of us only share WHATS STILL WRONG.. and not HOW TO FIX IT.. as this is meant to be more of a GUIDE!...

Go with Vega's ROM R1 build simple amazing. Fast stable and anything and more. IT is aka udk I think is the name he goes by on here.

I found the best to be Duttys ROM so far. I tried DCS 1.4 and it was pretty good.

I have to say I have liked all Duttys roms the best up until 6.1
I have tried all the 6.1 except duttys. I am using Sleuth.
FAST, STABLE and LOVIN IT. I have not tried Duttys yet cause I do not want to part with sleuths.
I will try when I have a bit of extra time. For now I am staying with Sleuth once you get past not having the htc home it is amazing.
I would recommend giving it a try.

sleuth 3.0 -

tried the official 1.62 and
Alex.v51.WM60.ATT.162.Home.ROM;
doesn't seem to be stable and missing quite a number of essentials.

I'm on Sleuth's v3.0 and it's fantastic. Fast, Smooth, and no problems what-so-ever. I'm VERY tempted to flash to Dutty''s 6.1, but i'm not confident enough yet.
Can anybody who's used both Sleuth's v3.0 wm6.1 AND Dutty's 6.1 please comment? It'd be much appreciated.

I'm also using Sleuth, but I still have issues with GPS. Do you guys also have problems? But the ROM overall is VERY stable, love it!

Started off with DCS and ended up with Sleuth. So far it has been good. No problems with GPS. Make sure you're using 08.21 Radio, at least it gives good reception and also GPS works well with it.

Well I've tried Schap's 4.4o beta, UDK and now Dutty's. Schap's was the fastest but none of the available radios worked with my device. Dutty's 6.1 is going fine so far. There are a few things I'd like to change, The best and the fastest ROM has been SNE 2.5 for me. It's not WM 6.1 based though.

Sleuth is my pick from everyone elses that is out now. I've tried all of em and Sleuth is deffinately the fastest. I love it even though it is a little scarce on applications. But you can always download programs you need anyway.
+1 Sleuth 3.0

I have tried both Dutty's and Sleuth's. I found them both relatively equal in performance and stability. For me it came down to the apps I use (and don't use).
Dutty's is better is if you like it with lots of apps and utilities.
Sleuths' is better for me because I like to load my own stuff (mostly NOT the HTC stuff).

Thanks kwickone, I decided to go ahead and flash Dutty's, and as you said, it's equally impressive. The speed seems almost identical, but Dutty's really looks the part.
Nice UI, quick speeds, and I was impressed with the apps list too, as I use pretty much all of them. He definately chose well in what apps were included.

I have had the least amount of problems with Alex's 6.1 Beta 2 after changing the pagepool to 24 mb.
I haven't tried Sleuth's, only dutty's and L26.

This thread needs a poll option added.
I'm on Slueths too, GPS, HTC HOME, all that stuff is working perfectly. Not as fleshed out as other roms. i.e. L26 includes the Action menu and a bunch of utilities such as quickmenu and various tweaking utilities that are not present in Slueths. But L26 also has a bunch of unnecessary files in the windows folder. In my test using standard explorer browsing the windows folder on L26 took 9 seconds, on Slueths it's less than 4.
They all bring something unique, so it's up the user but it's also been through enough tutorials that most people could make their own.

I have had Sleuths since it was available... Switched to Duttys 6.1 then went right back to Sleuths. I was having problems with HTC home customizer on Duttys 6.1 ( this can be fixed ) but I want to be able to flash and have 0 issues. Sleuths is the only one that is problem free (at least on my tilt ) My .02

I have Sleuth & am posting via IS while still receiving my BB messages. I love SLeuth's v3.0 WM6.1.
Having said that, I DL'd the new Dutty Friday & am getting ready to flash it.
I also hve Sleuth saved to go back to because Nearly everything just worked out of the box & it is fast & has a lot of available memory. It is fast & light.
I've also been suggesting Sleuth to newcomers that want to try wm6.1 because the Net & Phone have worked flawlessly OTB everytime.
TCPMP gave me issues, but I solved those easily & Streaming Media works, TT6 works, Internet Sharing works, MMS & SMS works, keyboard & screen are responsive & I love the UC feature which makes for super quick customization & program install (with a little work the first time you use UC, & some basic knowledge; *unles you do like me & customize the look & order of things, then you need to know to write & check xml)
Sleuth stole everyones thunder with his first release, & everyone is scrambling to catch up.
I am also not big on eye candy though & couldn't care less about cubes. SLeuth's ROM is truly the ROM to schoose for business users that want fast, light, reliable & highly customizible.
It's not a lesser of evil with Sleuth, it is a god send.

My personal fav is udk's, found here ---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=368330
its quick, clean, simple, no fuss. I've used dutty's a few times, and althou i liked it and appreciate the effort he puts into it, it just wasn't for me.
I use the radio suggested by udk. I don't have any issues, gps worked first time (i used gpstest first obviously as that seems standard practice) and battery life is acceptable (sorry if that sound vague but i use my phone in varying ways each day so its difficult for me to gauge)
Hope this helps.

I've tried every 6.1 (Sleuth, Alex, L26, Schap, DCS, etc)out except for Dutty's. I downloaded the leaked one, but decided against loaded just to show respect even though he'd never know. I've even tried all the 6 based off 1.62 and most "recent" 6 builds.
I've ended up sticking with udk/vega 7.0 R1. It just felt better to me. The phone radio doesn't seem as good as some 6 builds (even stock ROM), but data seems far better (over 1k verses around 770 on speed tests). I've not dropped calls, but seems to "mute' for a second or two every once in a while. GPS also seemed to be the best of all 6.1 builds. Most would take too long to center, udk seems on par or better than 6. Plus I like color. :)
I must be in the minority on Sleuths build. I could never get it working properly (flashed at least 4 times).

Tried Dutty's 6.1 for a day, got random freeze, can't figure out the exact reason, was playing the Bubble Breaker when the freeze occur. And I experienced 2 crashes when browsing this forum using IE today - need to soft-rest. Apart from this 2 issues, it's very fast and responsive.
Will try Sleuth's 3.0 tonite.

Im not sure what bugs are apart of Sleuth's but I've experienced none. I can't comment on Dutty's, I'm sure its great, but the way Sleuth's is running on my phone I can't come up with one single reason to flash over other that the fact that Dutty is Dutty. And you can't knock UC...its too bad that that it got implemented with the best rom (ie no need to use it more than once =) ).

I have tried almost all of the WM6.1s and the most stable seems to be Vega's UDK 7.0 R1 WM6.1. With Blackberry connect it no longer disconnects when you use the internet for other things (POP, HTML, etc.).
One note, the latest version of BBC (.97) does not work with any release other than the new Tilt rom (WM6.0) released a few days ago. So the .92 in my signature is the latest one that works.
No keyboard lag, overall speed very good.
Extremely happy with this release.

Some people seems to having problem with dutty but i had never problem with duttys new rom please follow the instruction. Sleuth is very good rom but GPS works better on dutty's. Before flashing duttys rom first flash a compatiable radio then hard reset then flash duttys rom then hard reset again. Everything should work fine from then.... I was missing the RDP from dutty but installed it separately.

Along with many others, I have tried all the 6.1 ROMS and after much testing (speed, in call performance, multible programs running performance, overall stabilty, an program usage) I find Duttys new 6.1 ROM to be the best.
It seems as though Dutty spends much more time cooking his ROMS, and being a former Wizard and Hermes now Kaiser user, I have seen a lot of ROM makers, and when it comes to the Kaiser, Dutty def. deserves the credit I am giving him. If it wasnt for me being a broke bastard I would have given him the value of the phone in donations already.
After learning that Schaps had venture into the Kaiser community, I was thrilled, because of his excellent performence with Hermes ROMS. But after using his and several others (even the early 6.1 ROMS that came about) I was always reverting back to Dutty v4, but now that v6 is out, it's been that since, and will be until I see a ROM that is a perfectly contribed as his.
I encourage other ROM makers to keep cooking, but for right now, Dutty holds the throne and has earned the riight to, and until I see a ROM that is a perfect as his, please pay your respects to the KING.

Tried them all - ended up with Sleuth 3.0. What a great ROM. This ROM is by far the fastest I have ever got on my device. No problems with radio, GPS or anything else.
Thanks Sleuth - GREAT work!

it is really funny how different people are telling about different ROMs that their rom is the fastest one. Especially when its not based on some prooves(benchmarks).

It's a question of perceived speed, general responsiveness of the UI. It's more important than benchmark results.
My ROM of choice is Sleuth 3.0 - it's based on 3.02 - no problems with TCPMP, very responsive, very stable, light. Requires some tweaking and setup of additional tools but I prefer it that way.
