Hi!
Im trying to make my own handsfree adapter,
but there is one thing i haven't figured out.

This is a drawing of the 2,5mm plug

-I_I_I_|_|_|_/ -> {Into cellphone}
1 2 - 3

1 = Left
2 = Right
3 = "Earthing" (Hey, I'm Swedish XD)

Now... How do I do the same thing with the
microphone part?

:confused::confused:

I believe the microphone is one of the four rings, and grounded with the others on the return...

out of four one for mic, one for ground and two for left right speakers.and the attending switch is placed between mic's connections via diode.

1. Earth
2. Mic
3. Right
4. Left

the attending switch (as Krishan said), is connecting 1 + 2 before they reach the mic.

I'm using Sony-Ericcsson's W series cable with the original I-mate pipe phones, this way, I have the same pipe phones cable working on any multimedia Speakers. plus this cable seems to be really heavy-duty! although it's thin!
