Back to WM5 : Error 294

I tried to downgrade from FAMAN 4.03 to original WM5 (RUU_Trinity_HTC_FRA_1.23.406.2_103_6275_1.38.00.1 1_108_Ship) but I have error 294 (invalide vender ID).

I have to send my phone to customer support.

Someone can help me?

why you want to downgrade?

Extract the files, and copy the .nbh-file into another updatepackage. The unofficial updaters on xda push sspl onto the device which will not check whether the vendor is the correct one.

I use an updater from offical htc website (from htc eclub).

So I don't understand why I can't downgrade.

I had an htc prophet and downgrade from WM6 to WM5 with no problem.

J'ai utilisé la mise à jour du site officiel (depuis le eclub htc).

Je ne comprend pas pourquoi je n'arrive pas à downgrader.

J'ai eut un HTC Prophet et j'ai pu repasser de WM6 à WM5 sans problème.

As said by Lost_in_translation the problem is the updater, when you install wm6 you change spl, so HTC updater doesn't recognize your device

I extracted the FAMAN 4.02 updater and I replaced the file "RUU_signed.nbh" by the file "TRINIMG_HTC_FRA_1.23.406.2_Ship.nbh" from RUU_Trinity_HTC_FRA_1.23.406.2_103_6275_1.38.00.11 _108_Ship (extracted & renamed).

But I have the same message "error 294 (invalide vender ID)".

I wil test with the FAMAN 4.03.

Any idea ?

J'ai décompressé la mise à jour FAMAN 4.02 et j'ai remplacé le fichier "RUU_signed.nbh" par le fichier "TRINIMG_HTC_FRA_1.23.406.2_Ship.nbh" depuis RUU_Trinity_HTC_FRA_1.23.406.2_103_6275_1.38.00.11 _108_Ship (extrait et renommé).

Je vais essayé avec la FAMAN 4.03.

Une autre idée sinon ?

No But I test it (Hold side Camera and POWER buttons together and reset with stylus) : same error.

Hi at all, i have same problem and i try downgrade hard spl olipro 1.3 to 1.2 and not downgrade still have 1.3, i enter boot manually of course i test only can downgrade and upgrade roms " faman " and vodafone oficial but not wm5 oficially htc and not wm6.1 like mary's etc.

Any idea ??

Then I downgrade with official htc updater to WM5 with no problem (without enter in bootloader manually !).

Puis j'ai downgrader avec l'outil de mise à jour officiel HTC en WM5 sans problème (et sans entrer dans le bootloader manuellement !).
