Hopefully someone out there has a solution to my exchange email issue.....

My company has recently upgraded their mail server to include exchange. My phone sync's up great with it for email, contacts, calendar, and tasks. The problem I am having is that it keeps asking me to "Verify you exchange settings" every time it reconnects to the server. (After a phone call).

Yes I have checked to remember the password.

What is weird about this is that I don't have to enter my password, I just hit cancel, and then hit sync and it works fine. I am pretty sure it is an exchange setting requiring authorization each time it connects, but why would it allow me to cancel the request and it not ask me again the next time?

Finally is there a work around to keep it connected, or possibly one of the geniuses on this board willing to write a simple program that fools the exchange server??

Really annoying and of course my IT department doesn't want to help since they only support Blackberrys for some reason.

I am running the titan on sprint’s network.

Thanks in advance for any help you all can provide!

I'm sure this is more of a problem with the way Exchange was set up by your company. The Outlook Web Access in particular settings need to be looked at very closely. I've seen this problem before with a IIS setting.

The Exchange administrators may need to review/adjust the mobile device policy on the Exchange servers. This sounds to me like a configuration issue with the Exchange servers vs a device configuration problem.

I’m assuming that the device is making the initial connection and sync?
When you go to ActiveSync, does it say “Connected” under Microsoft Exchange?
You mentioned that you have to confirm your settings after a call. Are there any other times that you have to?

Are you running a stock ROM, or a custom one?

I’d disagree that it’s a server issue. I set it up for myself and a few co-workers (I’m the sole IT guy for a non-profit). Whenever I’ve seen server side issues with this, Active Sync doesn’t even sync, it throws an error.

Then again, your IT dept. may have made deliberate changes to discourage using WM devices.

Whats wierd about the whole thing is that YES it syncs up fine. I receive emails for a while then all of a sudden it askes me for my password again. I used to enter each time and it would work again for an hour or so and ask again.

I found out that I don't even have to enter in my password, I just hit "Cancel" instead. I then tell it to sync and it does just fine again for a short time.

I agree it is probably a setting issue, and I am sure they don't want to look into or don't know how.

Just thought there might be a workaround that can be done on my end.
