Well, I traded in my Mogul. 25 days and 2 devices later and I've switched to the Vogue. After all of the hardware issues (not to mention the software ones) I tossed in the towel.
In 3 weeks I had one unit's scroll wheel break and the screen on the second unit went bad. Add this to all of the normal frustrations and I couldn't keep the Mogul. I did indeed like the device, but after trying for weeks to get my device to act and look like the Vogue (with TouchFLo the HTC Home plugin) I thought to myself, "Why not just get the Vogue?"
I'm not going to slag off the Mogul here, but I will say that my experience so far with the Vogue has been great. I do miss the keyboard, but oh well. I'm sure that I'll get used to it. Thanks for all of your help in the area, see you in the Vogue section. THANKS AGAIN!

Must suck to have made that mistake.

Interesting, I went the other way. Ditched my Vogue for something useful... the Mogul. [mainly because of the keyboard, Mogul needs the Vogue's RAM so bad]

I own a Alltel "Mogul" and a Sprint Touch (Vogue) and am partial to both. Too bad I cannot mold them into one unit.
To the OP: It's your time. It's your money. Use that which fits your fancy the most and the best of luck...
To future posters: Lets not turn this into another "Mogul vs Touch", "Mogul Negatives" thread...

The mogul ad the touch have their pros and cons. What the mogul lacks the touch makes up for. What the touch lacks the mogul makes up for. I think sprint/htc did it this way so they would have a reason to sell 2 ppc devices. If they both had the same specs folks would be complaining about something else. I got the mogul for "free" since the sprint store I went to no longer had the 6700 so I have no complaints. I have tested the touch and do like that device also but perfer my mogul just forthe keyboard.

Exactly...to each his own. For me personally I wanted the GPS, Wifi and keyboard. Although I really envy the program memory allocated on the Vogue. It was a hard decision to say the least. They are each equally good in their own way.

In addition to steps commentary above,
It would have likely made too much sence to get the Kaiser hardware enabled, FCC approved and released on a CDMA network with all of it's features utilized as it seems the closest to both worlds combined...
What I do not understand is with (3) large CDMA entities such as Verizon, Alltel & Sprint (among others), how hard is it to:
A. First implemement the resources & services necessary to maximize a devices capabilities as promised from the manufacturer...
B. With all the money put into advertising strategies, geographical marketing, customer feedback, advanced research, etc, how can they not produce a viable rom with such resources on demand? Dcd, no2chem, dogguy can produce FANTASTIC results within 8 hours or less and with a testing rom. Plus they are constantly innovating & tweaking it thereafter. Possibly a revision in hiring protocol needs to be applied within Sprint, Alltel, Verizon? Give these guys jobs. They produce!
C. When it is your buisness to provide wireless technology, is it difficult to plan the unforeseen obstacles, production delays, research setbacks, etc and promise updates & services vital to a happy cliental in a timely fashion?
Afterall we are not discussing your basic clam-style phone; we are talking about ~$250 - ~$550 data devices plus ~$30 - ~$120/month subsequential service for operation. And the data device market is growing rapidly as the technology becomes more commonplace, easy to produce and distribute...
I aplogize for the rant. I guess I had a few thoughts rolling around on my mind...

Preach Brotha! the only thing I would say is we (the tweaker community) have very high expectations for these devices. In alot of cases we expect more because they have the capability. I feel we should expect it but we have to keep in mind that we're dealing with non-tech people who frankly really dont care. So no matter how much fusing we do the other 75% of end users using these devices figure their device does enough to make them happy so why complain.
Just a thought... let me know if I'm wrong.

Yeah ive had both.
I text like 10+ times a day and am logged on messenger 24/7! The keyboard outweighs anything the Touch offered me. Thats just imho.
