Please note that I do not mean to bash dcd or no2chem. He is the best as he releases kitchens and makes good roms. His rom is the first one that I tried back in the day.
Difference not much really in terms of functionality except that dcd's 2.2.x doesn't work correctly and nueROM does.
Looks DCD wins He has a much better looking rom with themes and better dialer and calculator skins.
Extra stuff nueROM has additional tools that allow you to adjust volume, enable extended rom, and update over the air. Also nueROM includes ringtones.
In my opinion if dcd were to port the "Extra stuff" (the first three anyway) and get the sd card working there would be no contest. However, just fixing the sd card issue will make choosing a very tough decision.
Just my two cents and also I hope that this helps newbies choose a ROM to use. Currently I would use nueROM but once dcd fixes the sd problems I will use his.

Doesn't no2chem's have the same storage card problems with the nueroms that dcd's have?

I have been using no2chem's nueROM and have not had any problems with the sd card. AFAIK he fixed this a long time ago. I do not use encryption though but dcd's doesn't work with or without encryption and no2chem's does so currently nueROM is better functioning it just doesn't look as pretty. (it looks more like the stock rom.)

Well just to keep things in proportion, DCD has said that alot of his ROM was based off of No2chems rom and xip. DCD has made a great complimentary ROM which he tries to offer the things that No2chem offers and then some things that he doesnt ie: MMS (arcroft) different dialer, commgr, and removes the games etc.
No2chem has mentioned that he relies on our support thru paypal etc becuase he spends alot of time on these ROM projects and im sure finacially it can interfere with work, or if he is in between work.
DCD (i think) has less time becuase of his work and therefore doesnt get the opportunity to spend as much time.
No2chem is awsome at the inner workings of our phone and together (no2chem and DCD, and plus there are many others) that put out great Rom's, it just a matter of what your needs are.
DCD im sure will be updating real soon and Im sure, like stated b4 that it will be tuff to decide which to use, but thats a good thing.
Keep up the great work, dcd and no2chem and all other DEV's!!
the ppc community greatly appreciate all u do!

I have tested both rom, I find that no2chem has better GPS reception than dcd rom. Could be driver different. For DCD, i get 4-5 satellite but for no2chem I get 6-8 satellites. It might be just my phone.

no2chem uses a registry hack to enable a-gps this allows for better reception of gps signals.

Yes, I applied the same registry hack to DCD rom but it doesn't seem to work for me. Is anyone else get it work with DCD?

I'm sure I'm running dcd rom 2.2.6 even though I have download different neurom 5047 roms. My sd card has always worked but i have issues running music from the memory card. I'm about to test it again but it has been pretty consistent...I can view information from phone but running is a different story but it may just be me. This issue has happened with GPS today, music and even the new speaker cab.

I've used several roms from both of these guys, and I give hats off to both of them. Strong work! I currently am running dcd's 2.0.0, because I was simply losing too much memory from no2chem's wm6.1 roms. The customization was great, and the responsiveness from the device is very nice with the mw6.1 roms, but the memory leak was just too much for me. dcd's 2.0.0 is the only custom rom (that I know of), other than the leaked sprint, which is wm 6.0
I'm glad to hear that no2check has solved the memory card issues, and I'm sure that dcd's next rom will have the bugs worked out too.
FWIW, I like the way that dcd has choosen to display the clock better than no2chem's style.

i just transferred a song over to my 512 mb card and played through media player. It works! Maybe its my 8 gb that has issue or maybe phone was just glitching at the time. I lost my 8 gb memory card, i'm soo pissed right now, i think it fell under middle console near ebrake hole. Its going to be impossible to find, probably fell out...debating if i should try to find it or order a new one... :(

I have the latest DCD 2.2.6 Rom and Have absolutely no problem with the sd card. I've ran programs from it, listen to music, installed all of my programs, done hard resets and soft resets and haven't had a single issue with the memory card.

I've tried both ROMS.... I've made custon ROMs from both of them as well.... I've also never had any issue with an SD card with DCD, except 1 time. My opinion on the SD issue is that somehow during the constant reading and writing to it, something gets corrupted during the writes and causes it to freeze. no sure if its FAT issue but i reformatted the card to Fat32 and haven't had any issues since. I kept the same ROM on the phone.... It reboots fine with the card IN the phone now since the reformat... As for No2chems, I liked it as well, cept the mem leak issue. It's been a while since I made one from his ROM but I plan to make one tonight from his new basekit, BTW _ thx No2chem :), it harder for me to make a custom rom from No2chems than DCD's but all in all, they BOTH have pros and cons, but BOTH are very good choices....

I have tested both rom, I find that no2chem has better GPS reception than dcd rom. Could be driver different. For DCD, i get 4-5 satellite but for no2chem I get 6-8 satellites. It might be just my phone. My guess would be that it's more likely due to a change in time between your other tests in addition to differing cloud cover and/or a slight change in location (indoors this may be a matter of feet). Beyond the leaked Sprint release I don't believe that we've seen any other GPS enabled radio driver. I'd assume that the GPS driver of these ROMs is the same.
Within a half hour I may also notice such a change in satellite reception without any software change on my phone. Be careful against attributing a placebo effect for more likely external causes.
Enabling the A in AGPS is a side issue when the concern is GPS satellites strength. Enabling it offers the potential combination of two separate methods to resolve a location. Enabling the A(ssisted) modes will not increase a unit's resolution of satellites.
When viewing the GPS satellite status within a third party app or the Fieldtrial one sees the signal and timing stats for each satellite to your unit and this GPS function is independent to the additional cell tower assistance modes that may be enabled with the GPSone chipset. A change in settings of the A(ssisted) in AGPS should not affect reception of satellites nor alter the number of visible satellites. A sufficient GPS resolution (3 or more satellites) should always be more precise than an assisted cell tower resolution alone, and negate the need and benefit for such assistance at that time. Two different systems of location resolution that in tandem may increase the dependability of a unit's location, particularly when sufficient satellite reception is spotty or unavailable.

2.2.6 has an even bigger memory leak and the SD card problem will arise for those of you not experiencing, it did for me. I was all so very happy until it started happening. Went back to 2.2.0 I am considering 5047 to bad there isn't one specific for VZW.

I've gone back to 2.2.0 from 2.2.6 due to sdcard failures and intellisync / wireless sync starting to fail as well.
Sure appreciate all the work DCD is putting into this. If you're using his work, donate, he deserves it more then your cell company.
