- Support for all resolutions (hope so )
- Support for scale components of main window (may be useful for big resolutions)

Install: unpack to Program Files to your device.
Scale factor and balance setting are in HKCU\Software\MaxHome
Day's period to search birthdays in the same regestry.

To Do Next: sort birthdays in order of days, alarm settings, maybe screenlock :)

I'm begginer in programming. So dont promise a VGA version. I wrote it with Windows Mobile 6 SDK. I think it will work with 5.0 and 6.0 of coarse.
Actually I doing it for my personal using (QTek S200, WM6).
Will be glad if some one else will can to use it :)

I've got an normal htc elf p3450

And the program doesn't work correct, the background doesn't load therefore the transparant icons doesn't show.

I can enter the settings tab but i don't think any of the settings work.

I know you are a starting programmer (and i can't program anything so i have deep respect for you) but could you concider something like total customization

Did you extract it to Program Files? (I meen Program Files\MaxHome\, and not to Storage Card (!)). Don't promise full customize but will work on it :)

As i have a dutch elf i don't have the program files folder but i made one by hand and copied the whole MaxHome folder to that directory but it still didn't work.

hi, just tried it, unzipped to device/Program Files/Max Home

tried running MaxHome01b.exe and comes up with error:

"the file 'MaxHome01b' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. You might need to reinstall or restore this file."

I clicked on accept when it said it wasnt signed... :confused:

Date and time displayed correctly, the "Comm Manager" displays correctly but the Bluetooth button is the only one functioning, the rest do not have any effect.

Icons at the bottom do not work at all.

Anyhow, good idea, keep the good work!

I use Visual Studio 2005 + Window Mobile 6.0 SDK.

Please report me about WiFi switching or not. On My device it works only when I turn on and off WiFi with standard Communication Manager for one time after SoftReset. After that WiFi turns on and off well in MaxHome.

this looks nice but on my mogul/htc 6800 i get the clock the power meter and able to bring up menu wich works but no background or bottom icons

As I see in your screenshots your system font is not Tahoma... As a result - buggy text. Will add a constant font name to program to use only Tahoma font.

What langeuge of you Rom? Not WWE? As I think if it is no Program Files folder then images are not loading... Thinking how to fix it...

it looks like a great idea, may i give a small suggestion?
you'll save more space if you only have one button that changes by touching it thru on/off, or even just a small lighted circle that is ON if green or red if OFF... For the BT is should be blue of course...

My mate has a Samsung phone which the background changes depending on the time of day... that looks cool...

THERE IS NO PRIMARY CHANGES FROM OLDER VERSION!
Still working on it (clocks, maybe alarms, etc :))

Changes:
- Support for all resolutions (hope so :))
- Support for scale components of main window (may be useful for big resolutions)
- Negative balance now must displays correctly
- Some other little changes and bugs fixed

Install is the same: unpack to Program Files to your device.

Please report how program works on resolutions different from 240x320 and 320x240 :)

If so, then I don't know why images don't loading...
I think the reason is some ROMs don't have "Program Files" folder...

Help please. I don't know how to get images from the directory that deffirent of "Pogram Files, App. data, Windows, My Document, etc".

There is a some macros in my project setting, names "Additional Files".

Example of macros:
BackGround.jpg|$(InputDir)|%CSIDL_PROGRAM_FILES%\M axHome\Interface\|0

How can I load image from any other directory?

P.S. (I'm using imaging.h for load and display images).

I have been following the program for a while and I really like the progress. I have even used the pic as the back ground to my S2U2. Hope your okay with that.;) At any rate, I wanted to know if you could give a time table of how long before the bottom row of buttons will be fuctional? Also, if they will be programmable to any .lnk or .exe or if they will be changable icons?

At this moment almost done with first bottom button :) It's a birthdays :) Will update soon.

Next step is tasks and contacts. I think to change weather icon to tasks. And weather (if I'll realize it :)) will be in launcher.

p.s. You can change background to any you want by replacing the "background.jpg" in "Interface" folder :)

My Wi-Fi not switching on/off to. It's working after You switch it on by standart Comm Manager for a one time. After that it switching in MaxHome well :) Don't know why so... I think the reason is that there is no "WiFiInit.lnk" in my StartUp folder... But I'm not sure... Will try to fix it.

Also some devices have a different name of WiFi adapter then I use in my program. Will fix it also in next version.

You are either not using a WWE rom or an adjusted rom where the program files folder isn't on the regular place.

I got the same problem in my dutch rom

I set PTT to maxhome shortcut to start program and then set PTT hold to close all. This seems to work for me at the moment.

I know much about programming but i have not tried ever to make an application for windows mobile devices. I have the HTC touch cruise wm6 and i like to start making some applications for windows mobile devices.

I have a lot of the .lnk or .exe files if you need them to attach to the buttons at the bottom. What do you think of making the buttons user configuarable? I really like to today screen and would like to get it up and running. Please let me know what I could do to help.

I think that bottom buttons will be not configuarable because they are "main" button that people use most of all. But buttons in launcher will be configuarable (I hop I can do it :)). I want to put this buttons in launcher by default: music player app, picture viewer app, weather app, list of running programs app, list of programs installed on device, close and minimaze buttons.

I decided to remake the interface. Here is some shots (it's a prototype :) Make it with PhotoShop). When I do it and also add some new functions I'll put here a new version.

Yes, skin will be changble. Simply change default images and icons to your own, change the text color and shadow color.

Some bottom icons will be fixed (not changeble). It's a Bithdays icon and Tasks Icon (not added yet). You will be able to modify links for other icons by editing links file.
