un-capitalizing doesn't work. Is it a windows or HTC bug?

I saw others complaining about this input-keyboard setting not function. When you uncheck "Capitalize first letter in sentence" nothing happends!. Or rather: In MMS and Notes it works but in sms, office mobile and E-mail it doesn't. Pretty strange.

this drives me crazy. I dont want to capitalize anything automatically, especially in Office mobile etc. There seems to be no way to change this!
