if I didn't know you are 1000s of miles away from me, those pics look just like some of the countryside round me in Scotland!! Even the houses look like the new build stuff around here.

I was thinking almost the same thing but just a quick glance at steering wheel told me the truth...

Taken at a flower and garden center in CT, USA. I will adjust the levels/remove noise, and possibly re-size on the pic, but I do that to all pictures I take regardless of camera.

this is taken with a tilt, the only editing/changes from copying off of the pda is resizing of the image, no color/sharpness/etc

I took the following picture(s) in the middle of Lake Delton in the Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin one week after the lake washed a 400 foot section of shore out and drained itself in under 2 hours.

I used my Tilt for the photos, and then used MS Digital Image Suite Pro 10 to stitch them together in a panorama. Hence the overlap or double blur you may see in some sections of the image.

No color correction or adjustment to the images was made otherwise.

Here are pictures i took with my kaiser....two pictures were taken before i had nadavis camera fix, which are the two pictures i took in downtown toronto...the mime photo and skyline backround picture. The other two are images i took after i had nadavis camera fix installed...they are pictures i took recently at a barack obama rally in d.c...if you guys could plz tell me if you think one pair of pictures looks better then another pair...i dont think nadavis fix makes that much a diiferece because my two toronto images look really good...even the skyrise building backround photo that was taken in the night time with barely any light looks good...and the obama rally images had really good lighting cuz it was in the daytime, so i wanna hear some responses on if theirs a difference between the pictures....thanks guys

Mabryd,

No disrepsect with your photo, but I was drawn to touching it up with photoshop!

You did a great job on capturing the photo... was this random or are you a professional?

As you can see, I removed the people off the shoreline and added the seagulls in the background for effect. I really like both versions, but drawn to the b&w photo.

Enjoy,

Must be something in the Cheshire water that makes people behave like that.

My sister studied at Alsager College and the Rugby team were prone to mass nudity.

At the beginning of one year they welcomed/initiated new players by having the entire team stroll into the local Chinese takeaway and order food in the buff.

Cheshire's a nice part of the country but they seem to get nekkid at the drop of a hat.

One advise that seemed to work great for me - turn down your brightness to -1.5 or so - it will make pictures look more realistic (they're too bright by default) and also improve camera FPS in lower light conditions (since CPU won't have to compensate as much) - it's a noticeable improvement.

Looking at all the pictures above I many times wonder why there are such vehement complaints all over the place about a "crappy" camera! Look at the pictures of the Canary Wharf above or the sunset (sunrise??) in one of the posts and many others in the thread. Hey sure these are not "professional" quality perhaps and sure the camera is no match for a 1000$ Nikon Digital SLR with 20x optical zoom, a Carl Zeiss lense and 12 megapixel resolution. But when you are walking by in reasonable ambient light if you see something interesting and want take a snap to show it to your wife after going home, it does a great job. After all I did not go out to buy a camera - I wanted a good mobile phone which happen to come with a camera thrown in. I have owned a number of phones with cameras in teh past - Treos, Sony-Ericssons, Nokias and the Kaiser camera is without question amongst the better of the lot! If you pay a little attention to the conditions around you, position yourself properly, hold the phone steady in your hands, wait for the sun to come out the clouds before clicking - more often than not you get a pretty good picture!

Where I work using a camera phone is considered a security breach. I had to PHYSICALLY neutralize both cams on my TYTN II (with a snip at one of their mounting legs).

I hated doing so, but had to.

Now you come and shove these amazing pics at my face.

Come on guys... show some mercy!

This kind of explains military mindset (and their contractors)...

Personally I'd have left my $750 phone at home and bought a used one of ebay for $5 to take to work...

Possibly also explains why you can't take pictures :D

Thanks a bunch.

I do take some crappy ones occasionally - they don't make it on here!

The ones I do show generally have lots of natural light, that seems to bring out the best in them; other than that I'm as surprised as anyone when they turn out really well.

The only change that I make before shooting is to change size between "L" (for picture messages) and "3M" (for proper photos).

I'm still using the ROM that the phone came with.
The only adjustments I've made are to install HTC Album and HTC Camera:

You could save a lot of money by simply looking out of your window and enjoying "Olde England in the autumn"!

I didn't think I had anything to contribute until I browsed my phone.

While content-wise this isn't much of a picture, just a snap out my Window at work of downtown Mount Vernon here in Washington last week, it really shows off the power of the Tilt camera. This photo was taken through a dirty double pane window. You can see the reflection of the screen and lights in my office area. But it still is a pretty good picture. Not too shabby for a phone.

The Kaiser actually has a pretty good camera as phone camera's go - much much better than the Treo 650, two Nokias (N71 and the other model no I forgot) and a Samsung Blackjack that I have used in the past! Sure it is not a $1000 Nikon with 12 MP resolution and all the professional bells and whistles. If the ambient light is good and the plastic cover on the camera lens is not dirty or scratched, it takes pretty good pictures. Sometimes one has to tweak the white balance settings for different light conditions otherwise the colors come out unreal but other than that it is pretty much aim and shoot and you get a decent picture. ALL of the pictures I have posted in this thread have been taken with the Kaiser camera!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, some pics from my trip to Ireland.

These first ones are still in the UK, a nice little coastal park about a mile from the ferry port. We always stop there for a picnic before boarding:

I was well aware that I was appearing in this picture but the wind was pretty cold so I just wanted to take it and get back into the car:

My carriage awaits - the mighty Stena Explorer:

This is the wake churned up by the Stena Explorer:

The jets of water shooting out of the back are a sight to behold but I got nervous holding my phone over the edge, so I stepped back a bit:

Meanwhile, down by yet another lake, some 1970/80s car enthusiasts had parked their pristine motors:

One day we had a drive to the seaside town of Bettystown, Meath. It wasn't quite the weather for a swim - it being absolutely freezing - but the birds were aplenty.

Oyster catchers, Turnstones and Sanderlings amongst all of the gulls:

On the way home we took a little detour to Monasterboice.

What's that? Read on:

Yup, very nice pictures. What do you guys do to upload FULL SIZED pictures. Whenever I have posted pictures here I have always had to reduce the size from the original otherwise it wouldn't let me upload!!!! Is this a browser problem? or some setting I need to change?

Thanks very much.

A few people have asked about what changes I've made but there's no big secret.

I'm using my stock T-Mobile ROM, I've added HTC Album and HTC Camera (http://tinyurl.com/6patfs).....and that's it!

I have given my lens cover a good ol' polish and the sort of coating on it came away, I don't know if that makes too much difference though.

Resized, just messing with the close-up zoon after doing the camera upgrade.

Too bad the tilt has that cheap plastic lens, mine is so scratched that all the pics look as bad as they did on my old razr (0.3mp). :\

Which camera upgrade did you do to improve close-up (macro) zoom? Haven't updated my camera at all.

The quality definitely depends on the lens
I took the same picture twice. once with the back cover on, one with it off.
The difference is huge.
my lens has no Scratches and I also thoroughly cleaned the lens before I took the pictures.

Now having said that I am Very Happy with the Quality of pictures the camera takes now. Time to figure out how to replace the Plastic cover with a glass one.

kalwren, which rom are you using?

I think that the photos should be post at maximum resolution, and a note about ROM Used...

Lol, sorry for the -massive- delay in getting back to you. :)
I've not been on this site in a long time.

I'm using Dutty's ROM.

I just broke the plastic lens of the cover. Took it out. I had once cleaned, taking out the coating it had, but now I thought, what the hack, either I take this s* out or I'll never use this camera. I know the inside of my phone may be less protected, but...

Now my pictures are very fair. I started using photo contacts after almost two years with the Kaiser. But honestly, HTC makes a big effort to screw and make horrible cameras. Otherwise Kaiser and HTC are very good. But that's a tip for the vae people around: just break and take out the cover lens... At your own risk, of course.
