Anyone got one of these longer life batteries? Doubt its a genuine HTC batt for starters but if the 2000mAh gives you a longer life might be worth a shot

I've played a 1.5hr move on my Vogue batt was at 90% and dropped to 20% by the end.. pretty good.. but my phone is only 3 days old so will get worse I guess

Hi I am also in NZ with a Otka Touch. I just ordered one of these off Trademe. So will let you know how it goes in a few days. I probably wasn't going to use it for everyday use, more for long trips etc.

if you're using the Vogue, a.k.a. the Sprint Touch, check out Seidio's 2000 mAh battery. i've been using for 4 weeks now and it will last much longer than the stock. the second thing to remember is that the GSM version of the Touch is slightly smaller than the Vouge/Sprint version. an extended battery cover for the GSM version WILL NOT fit the Sprint version.

So humpless means it you don't need new back cover?

And earlier poster: I think my battery life is improving slightly with more use; charging and flattening right down again.

If you look at the seidio website the 2000mAh cover is actually 3.5mm larger than the original, but its included. Or you can opt for the 1500mAh battery that fits inside the standard cover.

How long the 1500mah last compare to stock ?in my opinion, the 1500 doesn't last long enough to justify spending $5 less than the cost of a 2000 mah battery.

yea but the 2000 adds size + new back case + u cant use default holsteri hear ya, but, 3.5mm in added thickness is an acceptable trade off for me. a co-worker of mine is using this case (http://www.case-mate.com/phones/HTC-Touch-Accesssories/htc-touch-cases) with her extended battery (minus the case mate cover)... i try to get pics and post here.

Man, I really like the holster that came with my Sprint Touch ... I'd like more battery life, but I don't want to sacrifice the holster.

decisions ... decisions

I use the Seidio 2000mAh battery w/extended cover in the case that come's with the phone. It fits fine.
I like this extended cover because it does'nt screw up the looks of the phone like the covers with the "hump".

Does anyone know if the touch will still fit in a dock cradle with the extended battery cover?

1500 is the biggest that would fit in a car cradle? I was just wondering. 2000 with new cover might not fit? Maybe a little shaving on the cradle.... Not sure.

it says here (http://www.seidioonline.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=927) that the 2000mah battery will fit in the stock case

"This extended battery is compatible with the OEM carrying case that came with the Touch. Please click "View More Images" for a visual depiction."

i think i just might get this with my next pay.....the bettery dies way to quick for my taste

anyone know of a canadian reseller for this battery...i don't want to pay like 30$ to get it here and have to worry about customs.

here (http://www.etechtronics.com/product.php?productid=25986) is another place to get it for cheaper right now....it's not the same it has the back cover with the bump in it but the price is right...

Try This it Works

---== HTC TOUCH BATTERY SAVING TWEAKS ==---

1. Turn off Keypad feedback. This tweak will give you faster response when dialing numbers. The feedback is the tone noise it makes. Basically when it has to make noise, it has to find and playback a sound clip which introduces a slight bit of lag. By turning that off so it makes no noise reduces or eliminates this.

To turn off keypad feedback you have to go to Start -> Settings -> Phone -> Keypad: Off

2. Turn off Location Settings. This is rumored to improve battery life and I always do this on all my phones.

To turn off Location go to Start -> Settings -> Phone -> Services (tab) -> Location Setting and hit Get Settings. You then Select OFF and hit OK.

3. Turn off Beam service. This tweak will drastically improve battery life and possibly system performance. Beam service looks for incoming bluetooth transfers.

To turn off the Beam service go to Start -> Settings -> Connection (tab) -> Beam, uncheck “Receive all incoming beams” and hit OK.

NOTE: Turning off Bluetooth when not needed will also improve battery life greatly.

4. Disable TouchFLO sounds. This will make the TouchFLO scrolling and panning perform quicker and provide better overall system performance. Basically what the sound they're talking about here is the clicking when you flick to scroll something.

To disable TouchFLO sounds go to Start -> Settings -> System (tab) -> TouchFLO and uncheck “Enable sound when finger scrolling and panning” and hit OK.

5. Disable Auto Time Synchronization. This will provide better overall system performance.

To disable auto time synchronization go to Start - > Settings -> Phone -> Services (tab) -> select Time Synchronization and select Get Settings… - > Uncheck "Time synchronize with mobile network automatically” and hit OK.

Well I been thinking about this..
Was using my mogul for 2 weeks 1/2 and never died on me.
For my needs the 1500mAh is perfect and since its OEM size even better.
But doesn't hurt to have a 2000 or 2400mAh for super extra life.

The problem is they're a bit expensive.

Here's a 2400mAh Mugeon I was thinking about http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=350049143329

Supposely Mugeon gets better reviews, results ..

But anyways.. the 2000/2400mAh might be the same size i suspect. The 2000 Seido says it fits in stock carryin case, but in my opinion will be very tight to take out and put in correct?

But being the same price 1500 vs 2000.. I might go with 2000 ..
ANy other Pros and Cons
