New to XDA IIi, got problems with sound

Hi all. I have just bought an XDA IIi. It works fine, except for the sound!! With the volume up to max, I can barely hear anything. I cant hear anything when I use the phone unless I turn on the load speaker, and even then, I can only hear a person talking, I cant actually hear what is being said.

Could this be a software problem? I un network locked my phone using xdadev_all_unlock.

Any clues will be greatly appreciated.

I've seen several threads which mention that sound on XDA2i phone has been lost after unlocking phone. Speaker still works when playing music (MP3 etc.) but cannot use microphone/speaker when trying to make calls.

Re-flashing doesn't solve it either. Sadly, no-one seems to have found a fix.:(
