Do you have a USB-to-miniUSB cable and Microsoft ActiveSync installed? Those are your first steps.

What I did first was Install the software that comes in the DVD to your computer.
Then hook up your phone with the usb cord to the the computer and let active sync do its thing or cancel it so you can get it out of the way and move on with the installation.
Tom Tom will install a app on your computer that you must run to install the software to your phone.
Run that app if it is not already running. On the left side window pane there is an option to install " to TOM TOM and this will give you the option to install to your SD card. ( I believe that you cant install to main memory because the program is too large ) It is recommeded to have a card that is 2 GB or larger.
Once the software is installed to your sd card it will initiate it self and then give you the option to register it / enter the code that came with the program.
Ohh you should register online and create an account. The benefits are that if you do you can log in to it inside the application on your comp or phone and download free apps and get updates.
I tried explaning it as well as I can with out a manual. I havent installed it since a while back when we got the first GPS enabled ROM.
The good thing about it is that even if you flash your ROM you can remove the SD card while it is being flashed and the re-insert it after and TOM TOM will install automatically. All you will do after is just enter the code again and it is functional again.
edit: If you still need help there is a booklet with pictures that comes with the software that shows you how to do it in realy simple terms. It is very simple.

I use TOM TOM Navigator 6. This only comes with the software the other versions I believe come with a Bluetooth GPS receiver.
My GPS was enabled on my phone via Custom ROM that is found on these forums. :D
But if you dont have GPS enabled in your phone you can still use TOM TOM via external GPS receiver such as a Bluetooth one. All software gives you the option to configure it to your likings even TOM TOM Navigator 6 which doesnt come with the Bluetooth Receiver.
Sorry bro TOM TOM doesnt use the cell towers to find your signal. I belive those types of software need a DATA connection to work and the good thing about software such as TOM TOM is that you dont need a DATA connection for it to work since you will use GPS receiver.

First off. Is your phone a TITAN / 6800? If so yes you can enable the internal GPS via Custom ROM that can be found here such as DCD's or no2chem awesome ROMS. ( This is will install a new OS with the proper GPS drivers and a new RADIO that enables GPS )
If you have GPS enabled in your phone then TOM TOM will reconize it. If you have it GPS enabled make sure you have location on instead of the 911. Also the GPS takes a while to warm up so it is a good idea to get a GPS launcher which initiates GPS in the background and preps it before you run your application. Or else you will have to wait a little bit until the GPS is initiated and ready to go for it to work with an application.
TOM TOM is very easy to install.
But first make sure that you have the phone I am speaking of. Make sure that if you do / dont that your phone has a GPS receiver that is functional ( or enabled via Custom ROM). If so then you are good to go with TOM TOM.
