I've been running the latest Touch-IT rom for a few months with no problems.
Tonight however, my phone started acting weird. You all know the soft beep noise whem you press the end call button? That soft beep noise is now a loud ding, and very annoying. Soft resetting and power cycling did not help. Any insights?

Solved!!
There is another thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369919) with the same problem and a quasi-solution of disabling the sound altogether. I wanted the sound to just return to normal, so I did a little digging in the registry..
Somehow, my registry was mysteriously screwed with. Under the following:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\DialPadCtlKe y]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dialing]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Ending]
The string values for Sound is supposed to be Midi2Wave_079_4098.wav, but they were all changed to dpadctl.mid somehow. I just simply changed them all back, and my phone is back to notmal. Problem solved!
Now the real mystery is how those key values changed on their own...
