I have been trying to flash my wifes 8525 for 2 days now with no luck. Had no problems flashing my 8925 but this is getting rediculous.

HardSpl installed, bootloader reads:
HERM100
IPL-1.04

HERM100
SPL-2.10.Olipro

I have run Herm_Unlock_V3 and set for SIM and CID unlock.

I have tried flashing via pc and SD flash, no luck either way.

SD flash goes to loading screen then to checking screen with "00058002" at the top then goes back to tri-color bootloader screen.

Flashing via pc gets to the % loading bar, gets to 1% then device restarts and pc shows "ERROR [244]:INVALID MODEL ID"

I am going insane here. PLEASE HELP!!!

I've tried flashing a couple different roms, I tried the new dutty 6.1 and also dutty's dualtouch v4. If these are not compatable with the 8525 what roms are compatable that are also comparable to these? Thanks

I've tried flashing a couple different roms, I tried the new dutty 6.1 (KAISER) and also dutty's dualtouch v4 (NIKE). If these are not compatible with the 8525 what roms are compatible that are also comparable to these? Thanks

OK, yes you are trying to flash ROMs which are not intended for your device. This is a VERY basic mistake sir however this is no cause for alarm bells :).

The best thing you could do right now is to spend some time reading through the Hermes Mobile 6 forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=355) to familiarise yourself with the ROMs available.

I will do that right now, thanks for the help. If I run into any more snags I know where to go.

if you want a nice stable wm06 rom, go with tnt se. it has a few extra 3rd party apps but seemed to be VERY stable for me and I would recommend it to anyone.Depends on what you like though. :D:D

Are there any good stable WM6.1 roms for this? I have a WM6.1 for my tilt and like it, I would like to get my wifes up to that as well but it HAS to be stable, otherwise I will never hear the end of it. Thanks

I'm afraid you'll have to wait a bit till someone builds one :P
