Now that we have the ability to use the 8gb cards on our 6800/Mogul/Titan.

Will the patch that enabled the use of 8gb cards on these phones work with cards with the size of 12gb or 16gb?:D

Or will our phones need new software to allow these new cards?

From what I have read on the forums, SDHC cards can be up to 32 GB and the patch will handle them up to that size.

Thanks bro. I needed some info on this because when ever the 16gb from sandisk is on sale I might buy one. But I wasn't sure what the size limit was on this patch.

I am copying a Movie I ripped using DVD Catalyst to my 4G micro SD card and it seems to be taking an awfully long time. The file is 514MB and it looks to me that by the time I am done it will have taken somewhere around 45 minutes give or take a few. Is this normal?

Yes it does seem about normal. I convert my movies to around 256 MB or 300 and they take about 30 to convert and another 30 to import.

I have a 8 GB card.

Thanks for the input on how long it takes to copy I thought I was having an issue for a minute there.

What do you use to convert? How do you set your settings for resolution?

I am new to this movie bussiness so I am still trying to figure out what will look the best on this little screen. I hate full screen movies so all mine are widescreen and I am trying to figure out where the happy medium is for croping etc.. I have my video rip set at 400K and audio at 128K with Framerate at 30.

How much difference in quality do you think it would make to drop the video and audio down.

I use SPB Mobile DVD. It is very easy to use.. it's like a -- b -- c and done. I convert mine to AVI and put it into Wide Screen mode too. To play my videos I use TCPMP player. My video quality is great, but since the volume on the 6800's suck I had to download the SRSWOWHD CAB which with proper configurations it increases the overall volume by 25% I think.;) But now i can watch and hear movies well on my XV6800.

update

I dont trim my movies either or lower the volume or anything like that. I still get a small video size.
