I have my polaris setup with my @o2.co.uk email account and it works well. Instead of setting outlook to check for new messages every 30 mins or so I would like to get push email working. What do people recommend? In the comm manager, the microsoft push email option is greyed out :(
Thanks
Allan

I'm hoping to use push with Exchange 6.5, is this viable over O2?

Push emails are only available on exchange 2003 onwards, as it's a microsoft technology. You can use push emails with a windows live account using the windows live program

We are using Exchange 2003, so fingers crossed.

o2.co.uk only supports POP3 email protocol which is not compatible with Push email. Only the MS Exchange protocol supports Push.
You can setup O2 email to auto-forward to an MS Exchange acount if you have one available.
If you don't have MS Exchange already you could look at BT Business Email (£7.50 + VAT per month) or mail2web.com Personal Exchange (€4.95 per month).

Or you could use Emoze (http://www.emoze.com/) - free for personal use
Works well on my TC

Why don't you use HTC mail? easy set up in less than 2 minutes and you can access all your POP3 IMAP mail as well.

I had a look at emoze but I cant find a version to push pop3 for the HTC range. When I go to the website all of the phones avaiable for pop3 push are Nokias, an LG and a Samsung. :(

I use mail2web. You just forward all your other email accounts to it, and they appear in your mail2web account which is push email. There is a free version of this, and it's very good. That's the one I use. Been using it for over 6 months without a hitch.
