Qtek s200 IPL/SPL

Hi
I have qtek s200 never locked on any network
I have downloaded ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3 and G4
But after i done to see 3 colors i have doubt i what G3 or G4 update rom to use

IPL 2.09
SPL 2.09.0000
gsm 02.07.20
os 2.9.7.24
My question is which Rom to user G3 or G4, or i have to do something more before runing RomUpdate

It might be G3
but not sure because my IPL 2.09 without anythin after that .09
but with 4 zeros after.09 in SPL

that is normal "fake boot", freezed screen because you didn't make the HardSPL,

That's the case
I didn't do anything. This is factory setup
This is never locked on any network Qtek . it works 100%.
I just want to upgread it to WM6 :)

1. "old method" for "old roms"
= Flash PVtemp (everytime), then upgrade wm6 (must follow my steps.......in my post),

2. "new method" for "new roms"
= Flash HardSPL (only needed once), then upgrade to wm6 or 6.1

That iS the point! You HAVE to prepare your S200 first before you can upgrade to WM6. With only factory defaults you are NOT able to succeed.

So I second dioxda2's advice:
read all the guides, WIKI's and other relevant information here before you dive into the deep... But hee, afterall its your phone....

So if i download gullum ROM Prophet XB

First to do ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3.exe

and after that Upgrade_ROM.bat

if i get it correctly

and after i'm trying to install touchXB i get

Could not update itsutils.dll to the current version, maybe it is inuse?
try restarting your device, or restart activesync

this is a common error when the pathname is to long. Copy the Folder to your rootdirectory (C:\) of your PC and run upgrade.bat from that location.

That too is a common problem, with this version of WM6 password just don't "stick". The problem is with all WM6 ROM's of that generation, not only the one you flashed. There is no solution, just don't use a password. The newest ROM's seem to have solved this issue, but I can't confirm that because I don't use a password anyway.

So, now you are stuck. Do a Hard Reset and configure your device again.
