View Full Version : How to disable backlight for keypad and D-Pad?

As we can see - default timeout value around 10 sec. But i can't find how to disable it.
Anybody can help me?

Changing registry keys:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Backlight\KeylightTimeout (default val. 15000)
HKCU\ControlPanel\Backlight\LightDetectOn (default val. 1000)
HKLM\Services\Keypad\DisableKeyLight (default val. 0) has no effect for me. :(

Did you just change it, or also soft-reset?

O2 one doesn't come with a D-pad light. Maan I wanna kill someone...

Another answer from HTC.

"I am very sorry for the delay. The answer to your question is you can adjust the backlight for the screen, but not the backlight for the keys. There is no update planned for this issue.
