To do bigger work SLITHER2007, I made some skins and better able to exploit this very useful.
To install need to download the thread Slither program SCLPC++0.51.
HERE (http://rapidshare.com/files/134468811/SCLPC___0-051.rar) you can find the download link and instructions for installation.
They can also make their donations to Slither in his thread.

So I open this block to have more centralized skins, and will be more easy to view and download.

Just so you know - under Skins HOME - in the Buttons folder - your music pressed buttons is the original picture not the new one. Probably doesn't make sense however I'm sure you'll see what I am talking about.

@JAMILU007 - Is there any possibility you could supply the BMP for each individual icon so that original HTC Cube users can harness it ?

I would imagine that many users with HTC's original cube software that do not feel they need to install SPLCD as they've got the same functionality on the ROM. If you could supply BMP versions of each individual icons, we could convert them to the HTC recognised .BRN format for skinning the original cube.

You can create text Menu 4, the rest of editing menus from SCLPC + + \ Data \ Ini Files \ TextList.ini.
In Menu4 with any editor images, open imaguen and insert the text of your choice.

Boy has to tell you one thing, this thread had more than 5000 visits and the three skins who lead the thread have been downloaded more than 100 times, the skin Home Jamilu SCLPC + + 0-051, around 200 downloads, so I see quite liked my work and I was not disappointed because no one has donated any penny.
As you can understand I am not very motivating to release more skins.
My intention hera share with you all the effort of my job and I did not put a price on fur because I think that may not be sold, which is why I think that a dollar does not make anyone more poor and those who put the effort in that things are more pleasant motivates us to do more and better.
I hope I do not offend anyone with this and put an early release that the skins have already completed.

Note: I want to clarify that if someone thinks that I am benefiting from the work of others, are wrong because I ask a donation by the graphic work for the improvement of the skins, nothing more...:(

There does not appear to be a link now in the first thread to download the skins and I cannot find any info on the best way to install them.

On a separate note they all look great. Is it possible to provide a library of icons? After all not everyone will want the same applications will they. Some guidance on this too would be appreiciated.

Its not a matter of having a library of icons in order to change the file. To develop the cube is actually a very pain staking processes which takes forever. I have been developing my contribution for the last few days now...off and on there is about 12 hours so far into it.......

I wish it was as easy as saying here is an icon I want, place it there!!! Below is my work in progress..

I do not read that way, but if that can be understood.
Open thread hanging three of my skins in which they have obtained more than 200 downloads each and so you could see people appreciating my work and that donations failed, it caused an anger in me that I decided to remove the links and only offer my skins who truly appreciates my work and dignified in donating some euro if some euro because I have not put a price on my skins only the will of the people to animarme to make more and better skins for you.

Actually I agree with you and that is exactly what this guy is doing... I made a "donation" this afternoon in good faith but as yet have not received anything. Maybe it was not enough? Who knows, he won't correspond with me. If there is a price for his work he should be upfront about it and say what it is and not hide behind semantics. At least then individuals can decide if they can afford whatever the price is. I haven't done enough reading about the rules of the forum, but it seems to me that his policy is against the good will of the forum.

His work does look like it could be good and coming from a technical engineering background I do appreciate it takes a long time to develop and put together good art work. I am quite prepared to donate to good work if it is something I turn out to use. I am sure we all try things out though only to find out they don't meet our needs. That has been the nature of shareware programs for years.

The majority of information and programs on this forum are given freely because we have a hobby or skill and enjoy our "toys" and many contribute back and help others to improve theirs. There is so much on the forum though and everyone has different needs. If everything on this forum was only available after a donation it would not be the forum it is and we would all be the poorer for that.

Have a good search on the forum, there are other good examples around. Poorlyduck's Vista Suite (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=350011) is an example.

Sheesh, guys, all this passive-aggressiveness against the author because he's decided he'd like to get a donation for his work. Looks like several people want to make an issue out of it.

Well, look at it from his perspective - he spends hours designing this stuff then if he makes it available on these forums, hundreds of guys will just download it and use it with maybe a 'thanks' in the thread. They're unlikely to bother contributing anything at that point; be honest.

So he's held out for some donations and got some, and is now saying that he'd rather make his new works available to donators and not the general public.

Yeah, he's selling his work. No, he didn't say that up front, but that doesn't mean he's trying to deceive you or anything, he's simply evolved to that kind of model because he wants to. You can twist his words around all you want but really it's just sour grapes on your part because you don't want to contribute.

If you have donated, you're likely to get something soon. Be patient and if necessary send a gentle reminder to him via PM that you've contributed, just in case he's missed you.

copy the menu and button folders to windows and open using paint. there are a lot of icons you can download from xda that you can paste over the skin. works fine . a lot of icons are on the following link.

Sheesh, guys, all this passive-aggressiveness against the author because he's decided he'd like to get a donation for his work. Looks like several people want to make an issue out of it.

Well, look at it from his perspective - he spends hours designing this stuff then if he makes it available on these forums, hundreds of guys will just download it and use it with maybe a 'thanks' in the thread. They're unlikely to bother contributing anything at that point; be honest.

So he's held out for some donations and got some, and is now saying that he'd rather make his new works available to donators and not the general public.

Yeah, he's selling his work. No, he didn't say that up front, but that doesn't mean he's trying to deceive you or anything, he's simply evolved to that kind of model because he wants to. You can twist his words around all you want but really it's just sour grapes on your part because you don't want to contribute.

If you have donated, you're likely to get something soon. Be patient and if necessary send a gentle reminder to him via PM that you've contributed, just in case he's missed you.

I respect your opinion but I do not agree.
If you have followed this thread since its beginning, you know to stop links to download three skins that their numbers can download the idea that if you liked that, I think I have already shared not-for-profit, but what I led to this position is the interest of the people in my latest skins and little interest in making a donation ridiculous.
If you are so interested in black fur and has been able to verify the quality and effort that entails made, I think make a donation will not cost so much effort and somehow I do encourage more.
It may be that you do not want to make any donation, I do not understand what compels anybody, you have two options very simple to forget my fur or wait for the release for all, which is not much time for that to happen.
With regard to what you have to do moderators think it is exclusive to this decision, because I do not think that any harm on anyone.

First and foremost, how do you want to try a skin out???? You see the skin, you know if you like it...its not like its customizable in anyway!!!!

Secondly, Here is my problem with your complaint...if you like the skins so much and don't want to donate try an build one yourself!!! I showed a preview a few days ago of the skin I am trying to develop and let me tell you one thing, its tough.... Pixels don't line up, buttons look weird, Icons don't match, ect.... Its not as easy as finding an icon, placing it in a program and whala it works.

I plan on releasing my skin in the near future because I enjoy learning a new program. (GIMP) But for you to expect an artist to just give away his hard earned work your nuts....

A perfect example is FTouch software, yes you can have the old version which seems to work fine, but if you want the newest version which is hands down much better FTouchSL you need to pay for it. So basically what I am saying is, if you don't want to donate for the skin don't, just don't expect to get a copy of the skin you want!!! or as you put it to try out.

However, you are asking for money right off the bat. So this means you are selling the skins.

This is your right and I can't say that I blame you for the work you have put in to them but at the same time it is good to be upfront and honest about it.

Man it's so funny reading the last few posts....I've had this discussion a few times in the past. I don't mind anyone getting donations for work they have done and are providing for free. This includes applications, skins/images or even clever config files that in the end help the user.

I think to avoid this discussion arising again maybe you should state "Please donate if you like using my skin and appreciate the ammount of time it took me to create it....you may donate for that reason and not any other :)

That's a friendly way to say it with a clear reason for the user to donate. Back to skins....I've tried the black skin and find it wonderful! Thanks for your contribution to SCLPC++ and the XDA community Jamilu007! :)

guys, i have a sugestion.
since every body uses their own particular programs and therefore need particular icons of taste, i will provide some links that i found in the net, that teaches how to work with graphics. in this way every body will be able to costumize their skins and of course share it with the forum.
personaly i have made two skins (alien skin and the D skin, i got the icons from the internet as freeware and costumized a skin).
for begining:

It's worth noting that on the first page of this thread, the author gives away some skins. The others you get if you donate. So perhaps a way of looking at it is that the artist is contributing his artistic skill to the community; you are free to download some of that, and if you like it, you can donate. As for those demanding they get everything free, get real, get over it, or move on. The only thing you get for free is advice, and it's worth what you paid for it.

As you can see, making a big deal about having to donate has made the artist make some choices, so now you lose out. That's the real world. I suggest you contemplate your place in it.

Dude, I can understand it must be hard-work putting out all these beautiful skins, but I've always had a problem with developers who start out on a free forum and then realise, based on take-up in that free forum, that they'd like to "commercialise" their product. You probably would have lost interest in working on this project if no one in this forum had shown the slightest interest and given some feedback, but heck what do I know???? Think about what would happen though if all the ROM chefs and other great developers here suddenly said they'd release their work only to people who made a donation?

Everyone on this post and this mainly throughout this website is for sharing and developing their work. The majority do it for the following reasons.

1. They Share to get themselves known and make other friends.
2. They Share because it helps, evolves and furthers future developments..
3. They Share because its in beta stage and their working out the bugs.
4. They Share because someone wanted it and they had it. And wanted to share and give it to them.

"MANDATORY DONATIONS". Your EXPECTATION of a donation is a contradiciton of the word Donation! Someone chooses to give an donation. Its their choice to give the gift.

Donations is NEVER expected, but Always appreciated! That Expectation makes you unappreciative if you get a donation.
Like it was your choice to share and your choice to stop or not.

The irony, people really like your style and work. And they are the same people you are criticizing as ungreatful users for not making a donation. I couldn't believe you referenced the amount of downloads you had. And then you compared how much more you had compared to others people who shared their work.

I don't want to sound or come off like I am flaming this post. Hopefully you will concider what I have to say before you make another post like this one.

You need to check out the other users who share their work. You will find the following:

1. The more people download it tell them how much their work is being appreciated!
2. They do it to help out and they ask for beer (or icecream) as gratutity for their hard work.


I know how much time and creativity goes into creating anything. If you need to be paid for that, which I think you should, you should ask for payment and not for a donation. By selling your work you will avoid all future disappointment of people not donating. You need to be more upfornt like the other people expect compensation of their work.

Remember "MANDATORY DONATIONS" is the same thing as SHAREWARE.

His words have made me change his attitude and I want to prove that the persigo not get rich with the donations that may be made by the people.
In the first post of this thread as I have seen I felt that discharges to the work performed released.
The response to all this has been a couple of thank-seven grants, this is what brought me to anger and why I take the decision to give my new work who valued truth and showed me with a simple penny, because I never have put a price on my works, the price it has to be the making and appreciates things well done.
My intention is to reach all my work and that there are many people who do not have a Paypal account to make a donation, it makes me feel bad and I want to see these people also enjoy my work.
For this reason, as I said I am going to change my way of acting and liberare all skins for the entire world and that is able and willing to conduct a donation.

Thanks doubinoz, by his words that I think like me and understands my anger.
I will have to direct everyone to know that I think all this.
At first I leave available to all skins for some as a test devices in their not-for-profit, with a message that made it clear that if liked my job well could make some DONATION.
The downloads were fired and only two or three messages of thanks and no donations were the result of this work, it did me grow and continue my work to make more and better skins.
The result of this chooses to give my skins only to those who make a donation, that angered a few who immediately found a little time to air their grievances through messages.
Popravi my position and I came back was climbing skins for all I could download and store the latest made to reward those who make a donation.
This naturally not happy that many arremetieron with more force, making boast knowledge of the Dictionary and exposing the meaning of the word donation, but those words got to change my position and I decided to give his work freely to all thinking of those who did not could donate and that he could not compel anyone has make a donation in exchange for my skins.
Well right now we are already So a couple of days ago to release the skins and I would like to see a message of thanks, I think today is not yet charged, nor need to have a Paypal account, simply discharged while the skin I think we could do.
From und3rmysp3ll friend, I do not expect any household, I suppose finish tired of his last message on the forum or perhaps this busy trying skins, it was not me, I hope he enjoys them.

Sorry, I'm still unclear. So I un-rar'd the files to my pc. Transfered the folder with all its contents to Application Data / SCLPC++ folder....and restarted the phone and nothing. I did see there are 2 .exe files in that folder though. What am I doing wrong?

Sorry, I'm still unclear. So I un-rar'd the files to my pc. Transfered the folder with all its contents to Application Data / SCLPC++ folder....and restarted the phone and nothing. I did see there are 2 .exe files in that folder though. What am I doing wrong?

As I see you do not have the program SCLPC + + v.0051 installed and running on your device.
The instructions I have given in the previous post are those that normally makes the whole world for this program to work, not that it does not work but once installed, you simply have to run the SCLPC + +. Exe and must function properly, Is there a device that has neither ROM uses, perhaps this is the problem.
I suggest that you expose the problem in the thread Slither2006, I am sure that someone will come to their aid and may help you more than me.

Unzip the file .rar Ing on your PC, take the folder called "DATA" in his and replace the PPC.
Restart PPC and will have already installed the new skin.

yeah, this is the only thread that i have seen in this forum that you can officially buy skins, and that 5 Euro pro skin, and in the other hand there are commercial applications that costs 15 euros (like SPB mobile shell).

so, i have nothing against the skins, they are good, but too expensive.
now if the skin costs 5 euro, i would have nothing against to buy the sclpc ++ for 100 euro, which comes to, a second hand PPC costs around 100 - 150 euro.

with these prices the worth of true values are being destabilized.

finally, if every graphic modification or whatsoever would be sold, than this wouldn't be called a forum but eBay, ain't it.

btw, i would use the skins if they cost 0.29 euro cent.

On page 1 and page 13 of this thread, you show a skin that seems to have a 5th side (top) that shows the time and such. Is that still slither's SCLPC++ 0-051 cube? every other cube skin I have seen has the top just saying "SCLPC++". I wanted to know if you got it to somehow be a funtional side that launches programs, and keeps the time updated.

Here disable all fields and leaves only enabled that puts HTC Home, Click on OK and salt all menus and will have to show the plug on your HTC Today.

I did all this, to no avail. So I decided to remove the software and reinstall it. That is when I noticed a message after the install was complete stating that it may not work properly on my device because my operation system is too new. I found this odd, since I have windows mobile 5, not WM 6, but such is life. Thank you anyway for your assistance. If you have any more thoughts that might lead to success, I will keep checking this thread, or you can PM me.

first of all my message was mis interpreted, i didnt say that i bought the sclpc ++ 100 euro because that is free.
second, i wanted to compare the price, meaning that if a skin costs 5 euro than the actual program should cost 10 times expensive, but as we know the entire application is FREE, but the tiny skins cost 5 euro (to make such an application takes months maybe years, to make a skin takes minutes maybe hours).

I decide on all this has changed completely and I act differently.

In principle I would say that this skin as the name suggests is a skin to work with the SCLPC + + 0.51, as all others who are in this forum.
This inspired the new HTC Diamond and has a great similarity.

On the subject of the grid, I too believe that it is very good and he put the issue of respecting the skin based on HTC TOUCH, but I had to get down to work and carries out a version without grilles and some icons more similar to the original Diamond.

If sclpc + +, already runs on your device, you have to do this.
Unzip the file. RAR with the new skin and you only have to replace the Data folder by which takes its device: \Application Data\SCLPC + +.
Finally conduct a softRese and already have the new skin.

I will try to answer but I think you see someone these questions will do better than me.

Method One:
Download the SCLPC++ 0-0.51 of the page Slither.
Decompressing in your PC and copied the folder SCLPC++ at the next site of its PPC.
\ Application Data.
Since the PPC run file SCLPC + +. Exe.
If any good has ido should work on your device.

Method two:
To integrate my skins in a HTC, it must do a cutting of the skin by icons and convert the format of the icons used by HTC TOUCH.
I have in mind to make a version for HTC TOUCH, but I have not decided to make by not having this device and not being able to do tests.
Making a skin for this PPC serial risky on my part because it could not give assurances of its correct displayed.

I hope this will answer your questions, but I remind myself that I am not aware that the SCLPC + + function in a HTC TOUCH.

To change the skin without losing all the work for configuration, do this.

Make a backup of your file ProgramList.ini, this is in \ApplicationData\SCLPC++\Data\Ini Files.

Install the new skin and replace the file ProgramList.ini
by theirs.

Hello everyone.
Firstly thanks to those who have donated.
I am happy that I see that my work continues gustando many people, is incredible the number of downloads being made daily.
I saw that the skin in black Diamond likes to many people and that is why I thought making a new skin inspired by the famous Diamond, but this time in shades of white, I hope to enjoy more than one.

Referring to Slither (Creator of SCLPC + +).
I fear that no longer Slither end this great project and not complete the expected SCLPC + +0.52.
I hope soon solve all their problems and also hope to make some early appearance for his forum and greet us.
Slither let know whether the proposed abandonment SCLPC + +0.52.
I think many people expected some news yours.

i dont know much about cube custiomization so ill just ask before i give this a shot, i have a sprint Touch (vouge) and the cube is built in so theres no specific folder for it

the question is, where do i place the files for the skin to apply???

To answer your question I will say that everything depends on if I find myself in front of my PC or not.
It is usually within minutes, but if I'm at work, of course I can not send the link to download till get home.
In short, usually the same day send ground.

Can someone help me.. i'm trying to get the neon theme.. i followed the instructions given in the .rar file by extracting it, placing it in app. data, then installing ftouchflo... but for some reason when i set it to be the down-up button nothing happens...

...it's not exactly the same (just for your information)

The test :
-the 3 icons Music, Photos, Videos are now perfect (but 1 pixel blu in the top of the Music field with black background, as a star shining), leaving the page the old one are shown for 1 sec, at the opposite the new one are correctly shown immediately arriving on the page (yesterday's bug is fixed)

The 6 icons Email,SMS/MMS, Opera (I changed the name), Notes, CommManager and Calendar have the following problem : at the opposite than yesterday, you see for 1 sec the new ones, but after this the old ones are in place

Same thing ( you see for 1 sec the new ones, but after the old ones are are in place) for the contact page

6 icons page and contact page new icons are shown also for 1 sec when you leave the page for another one

I hope you'll be able to fix this ;-)

Unfortunately the problem is still there : I see the new icons but the old one are back after 1 sec. I saw that I have in my windows folder some .png files (same name that your .brn files) that I can not delete or rename (I renamed in .old but after the soft reset thay was created again as .png and I guess that they are responsible for this trouble) Do you know how I can soft reset in "safe mode" in order to kill them? on how I can avoid them to built in memory...?? ciao:confused:

You can send me the icons that have a format. PNG on your ppc.
Enviártelos try and change them back.
It may be that if the change is total need to change these icons as well.

The A0.png is not showed, the cube turn (so all the png are shown to give the ilusion), but when the contact page is fixed is the old icon that is shown (and not the A0.png) : am I clear??? ...:confused:

You can locate in its HTC, where are those images and that format has.
You can filter all the explorer with pictures of their HTC and copy them to a folder on your PC, later displaying the images and you may find the missing images to change.

I can not help much, I do not have an HTC Touch, I think we'll have to help someone else.
Let us hope that someone else read this and take us a hand.
If someone sends you and offers icons.
It occurs to me an idea.
When you sent me the icon, I could see that these are a package that is not where I saw in these forums and I remember they were green.
When you change the menu icons of contacts will change or something like that continues with the original skin?
If the icons will change some green icon menu contacts this perhaps the key here.

I looked into the windows folder and I have found the following icons that I put into the zip I attached here. Inside You'll find also a screen copy of the contact page that is resisiting to your "restyling".
