Hello!

I've looking around for the information regarding HTC Home plugin tab "Sound" and exactly - what is "Sound:Automatic" (the last setting) - when the sound is on and when it's off? Is the on and off time customizable?

The idea of "Automatic" is that sound is turned off (automatically) during appointments in the Calendar.

Is there any way to have a customized profile with ring off but phone sound on?

Funny, I've just swapped my old 5 tab home for the new 6 tab version and was wondering the same thing.
So does anyone have any details of how to make settings for this auto option, I.E if they are dependant on calender events where are the options to set call settings??

I don't get your question; why do you need additional settings? If there is an appointment in Calendar, the phone is switched to silent at start-time and back to noise again at end-time, that's it.

The 'automatic' setting also sets the phone to vibrate if there is a birthday. And that for the entire day!
This makes it a pretty useless feature because I have around 200 birthday's in y calendar.
Modifying the settings so 'free' and 'Out of office' to be excluded from the 'automatic' profile would be very usefull!

that's exactly why there is a PROFILE existing for it ;) so you can choose the day's when the phone should behave so, and when it schouldn't.. example: on tuesday you have meeting at 2 pm, you can set to this auto-profile at the morning and so you won't forget to set your phone to vibrate before the meeting.. nobody here seriously would turn on this profile the whole year, wouldn't? ;)

These HTC Profiles are USELESS... You should try SPB Phone Suite. This soft has wonderful profile settings. ;)
