Anyone managed to get Foxtel (or even Telstra My Place) working on a Kaiser / Tytn II?

I've attempted to install Default_i-mate_MyPlace.cab (with or without Telstra_V5.5.CAB) from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1719900&postcount=63 but it fails to install, reporting nothing other than "Installation was unsuccessful".

I've tried this straight after a factory reset too. The ROM is the default one it shipped with - 1.82.707.0 WWE (11/03/2007)

From what I've seen posted by others, it 'should' be as simple as installing the MyPlace cab then changing a registry setting, but I'm not having any luck with even the first part!

Anyone run into similar problems, or able to assist?

If you install the latest Telstra ROM then use schaps utility to unlock the extended ROM and copy the contensts somewhere you can then install the TELSTRA 5.5 cab. You will probably also need another cab called Default_Imate_AUS_HR_V3.60.00.cab. I have SCHAPS 4.01 FULL with both of them installed and everything is fine. Contrary to some threads I have flashed heaps opf ROMS and I love my JASJAM, being a tech nerd of course.

Finally got Foxtel working on my Kaiser (Tytn II) with Telstra NextG.

The main problem I ran into was when downloading the files from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1719900&postcount=63 I was right clicking and selecting "save as". This doesn't work, as the link heads off to Rapid share, where you have to click free, then wait a while, etc. Silly me.

In case anyone's interested (or for the next time I reset):

1) Install the Default_i-mate_MyPlace.cab (approx 70k)

This gives the "My Place" option in the Programs list. When I ran it and tried to go to any of the options, it would connect, then timeout on finding location.

2) Ensure the Telstra Internet connection is using a proxy:
Start / Settings / Connections / Connections
Under "Telstra Internet Settings" select "Manage existing connections"
Under Proxy Settings, tick "This network uses a proxy server ..."
Advanced / HTTP
Set server to "10.1.1.181" and port to 80
Okay out.

At this stage I could now go to the various locations in Telstra My Place. Except Foxtel which gave an error about not having a compatible phone.

3) Change the User Agent by editing the registry.
The key is \HKLM\Security\Internet Explorer\User Agent\CustomBase
I changed it from: HTC_P4550 Mozilla/4.0
to: i-mate JASJAM V2 PPC; 240x320; HTC_TyTN/1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1

Now I could load the foxtel link. When I tried the free service, streaming media told me it couldn't connect.

4) Configure streaming media:
Start / Programs / Streaming Media
Menu / Options
Set "Connect Via" to "Telstra Internet Settings"

Voila - Foxtel now works.
