 I have broken the LCD Screen on my orbit. I am trying to find a replacement screen via the internet - but I am getting the impression that there are are two types of screens and i don't want to waste money on the wrong one - does anyone know how to find out which variation i have without taking the thing apart?and checking the part number on the screen?

Also has anyone replaced their screen - was it relatively straightforward?

You will have to take it apart to fit the new screen any way, so you can check the part numbers then ?

Thanks :) - I was hoping not to go down that route - but I have done it now, found the part number and ordered the new screen. At least it has given me some experience of taking the unit apart and putting it back to gether again. ... and with mine being the O2 Orbit - the method is slightly different to that posted in the Wiki - so i will try and document the differences and add them to the site.

There were a series of numbers on the screen as follows:

TX0705APAA3
043S7585249
S/N 9DYA275DS02066
P/N 60H00071-00M

I did a search on e-bay for the first number (TX0705APAA3) and found a number of sellers selling that item. Assuming that all O2 Orbits have the same screen then you should easily find one for sale on e-bay. However the only way to 100% sure is to take the phone apart (quite easily done) and check the part numbers of your screen.

Hope this helps!
