I have the updated rom form htc fro my att tilt Ver. 1.62.502.0

If I do a hard reset and let ATT install all its stuff I can sync my phone with no problems.

NOW, if I do a soft reset on the 3 seconds notice to install extra ATT stuff to clean up my phone I can't sync the phone. It just stays there saying syncing on Active Sync 4.5 but no status appears and it does not do anything. Left it for more than 15min. and nothing syncs.

Please help me understand this  is there another program I have to install in order for the phone to sync? Does ATT install this "magical syncing software"?

Thanks

Hi,
it seems like if you want to get rid of the provider stuff, just try a coked ROM, there ary very good ones out there...

cheers

Well yes, but I can do that with the hard reset and soft reset at 3 sec. warning from ATT. My problem is that when I do that I cant sync the phone. If I let it istall all the ATT stuff I can sync just fine. Will a ROM fix my issue?

Yes. Your best bet is to try one of the ROMs based on the latest AT&T 1.62 build. Check our _Alex_'s thread in the Upgrading section for you choice of several excellent ROMs that will work perfectly on the AT&T network with no modifications required.
