lost my usb connection

hello i lost my usb connection from my tilt 8925 it was working fine then it stoped cant sync my phone to my pc try reloading active sync and still is dead my sync dont read the phone or my pc.please help me fix this i have tried researching and my next step was asking all of yous for help.if all and all i have to call htc or at&t ut with having all the up grades to my phone woundering if they could help me.so please reply back with some help on how to fix this thanks..:(

Does the pc attempt to connect? Do you receive any error messages? Please give more information.

no there is no connection at all. i hook up my phone using the usb cable and i reinstalled my sync software and nothing happens i get a message that usb device is not working please check and try again im woundering if when i extracted a file i might have extracted a program that i needed to make this work im not sure what i could have done....please reply back if you could help would really be nice.....thank you hope you have a answer for me............
