View Full Version : Rec videos on HTC...an't see them on Mac :(

Don't know why, but any video I record on my P3600 I cant see on my Mac!
I tried HTC Camera App, and CoolCamera software, both same error!

Anyone?

What error do you get? I've never tried but aren't recorded videos MPEG-4? That should play fine on a mac.

That works fine but QuickTime refuses to play it because of an invalid sample description, whatever that may be. My video was made with my Touch. I'm looking at what could be wrong and will post my findings.

Found it! Just rename the video to .3gpp and it will play fine in QuickTime. Standard extension is .mp4 and QuickTime expects a different type of MPEG-4. Since it's a 3gpp video I though I'd just replace the extension and it worked just fine. Info showed correct video and audio streams and all. I hope this solves your problem.

sorry about my abssense.
I found the solution a while ago in a french forum. Gotta change extension to 3GP allright... dum, but effective.
