Dopod 818pro Error 260

HI to all. Need some help.
Tried to upgrade my ROM but every time there is an ERROR 260. I got the ROM upgrade from HTC website, followed all the instructions but still hang at the 3 colour screen and the error will appear after that. BTW I'm using Vista with Mobile Device Centre.

I think this may be caused by the fact you are using Vista.

from personal experience no, u can't upgrade rom using vista. i have vista home premium & i'm using vmware running win xp pro.

cari la vmware kalau nak update guna vista. mestila awak tahu mana nak cari software ciplak kan? hehehe (sorry for malay talk here)

Confirmed, MUST use XP to upgrade. Borrowed my brother's computer to do it. Now works perfectly.........looks like my plan to upgrade to HTC TyTN II is on hold.
