i forgot how to change the soft keys on the bottom. if you can help me out on that, that would be awesome. Also is it possible to remove the battery status on the top right corner?

Why am i getting this messae on MMS saying that "The current settings do not allow you to add this content, the added content is not supported"...???

You can use my mms / sms fix to remove the present mms / sms and then install the version of your choice. Have you tried going to buttons ???

So I download/installed this ROM and I'm running into issues. I'll go through them one by one. (List to be added to, promise.)

1. Where the heck did my task manager thingy go? i want it back.

(edit: +2)

2. After I go to Today under settings once, I can't do it again.

(edit: and 3, 4)

3. It won't let me change my Today screen. Can't put HTC home back up. (edit: It suddenly popped back up after I ended everything in task manager. Weird.)

4. The Messaging button doesn't work.

(edit: and 5)

5. When i press alt + L I get = instead of @. (edit: In fact, MOST of the symbol keys are screwed up. editagain: Oh yeah, right. keyboard cab...fixed!)

I'm not sure why you are having those issues. I downloaded this rom tonight and have been playing with it and adding my cabs and I have had no issues with the items you stated. Might want to reflash, or maybe I got real lucky.... I have noticed that this rom seems to be the least buggy, most user friendly rom I have used, and i have used roms from ttran and papamopps. Gotta give credit to ITJE and I think I'll be sticking with this one for a while unless OT 6 ends up being real nice.

Also, you can enable task manager through battery status or upload the task manger cab. I haven't had any issue with the today settings, and I have been in and out numerous times....

Battery status is where, now? mine is refusing to open because it's disabled and I forgot where to enable it.

And i noticed most issues go away after a ton of soft resets, so I'm happy with that. Only thing still bothering me is the messaging button. It's still screwed up.

I don't know what to tell you with the messaging button, I am not having that problem. For batterystatus, go into today>items, select batterystatus and then click on options tab on the right. I'm going to be flashing the Touch-IT diamond just to see how it works but this is still the best rom I have used. I like a little color on my today screen, never been a big fan of the all black roms, so this one is perfect, except I might have to change the clock.

I never did get to changing the clock. I played with the rom for a while and decided to go back to OT 4. I was having issues with some of my cabs and I didn't feel like dealing with tweaking it more than I already had, so it was time to go back. This is a great rom but I personally seem to have had better luck with the Open Touch roms. Sorry...

I never did get to changing the clock. I played with the rom for a while and decided to go back to OT 4. Yeah, I've read a lot of your reviews, but nothing beats actually flashing and trying it out. I'm not as much of a flashaholic as you, but I don't usually keep a rom for too long before I have to try something different...

The link was removed awhile back by the author I believe..

There are other Vista themed ROM's available. Open Touch 4 comes to mind. Or you can just use Poorlyduck's .cab files that are still attached on msg #1 to customize any of the other ROM's.

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this.
I flashed the ROM and everything is just awesome except for a problem with the calculator (at least for me). I flashed the MMS cubeless rom.

When I open the calculator (calculator.exe, not the WM6 original one) I see a graphic glitch. I have the calculator in the background in vista design and over that one there lays another smaller one (also the vista design) and when I press the buttons then they become visible trough the overlaying one. Looks preety odd... I have no idea what I could try. Cannot install another skin because its implemented in the ROM and cannot be uninstalled...

Please help me guys. :( I dont want to flash another one, this looks so cool! :(

Check my sig mate, i have cabs for Office and Java that are the same from 4.4 :)

I was in the same boat as you and went ahead (black isn't really my color) and flashed this ROM.

It's pretty awesome. I had to install x-button too btw. And it needs an updated htc task manager (been using battery status for that) Sometimes Java won't showup in the tm and sometime Phone will. Quiting the Phone app caused bt headset to stop working until reset.

rom is buggy still. the cube just randomly comes up and if you click anything it doesn't do anything

Edit: Managed to get cubeless version running pretty well. the x button doesn't work even with the x button plugin.

Edit2: What does Get More... on interface mean?

Edit: tried htc taskmanager to fix top right corner..didnt work at all. pretty much cant use that corner.

I know I'm a 'noob' but here are a couple of simple (but perhaps important) observations after downloading this rom to my HTC Herald...

First of all, a HUGE shout out to ITJE, Pureskillz, and all of the other people who make a forum site like this well worth the time. Thank you for making (and supporting) quality products and services. If only you guys ran NMCI...;)

Secondly, I can't stress this enough...Read everything! Two or three times...it will save you a ton of frustration (and warranty calls) in the end.

3rd, just because you THINK you know the next step, NO SHORTCUTS! If Rome had to have been built in a day, you know what they would've used ???

Bricks! :D Jump ahead, and you'll have one of your own to support their cause.

4th, and this is one that Pureskillz didn't mention in his guide (not picking on you there Mate..) any time you have a problem with the rom try a soft reset. It may take ten or more times before the phone works the way it's supposed to. I had an issue with bluetooth, so I just kept resetting and resetting and viola, it worked. Kinda weird, but the end justifies the means...

5th..for you guys having an issue with Vista, WM 6.1 and connecting via USB, I had the same problem. The solution (that worked for me) was to take the USB cable out of the hub, and plug it directly into the USB bus on the computer. At first I thought it was a power issue, but this is a powered hub, and the more I look at it, I think it's a logical addressing issue
Okay, enough of my ranting for now...again, thanks to everyone for making this site one of the few pocket pc sites I've actually bookmarked.

i have a few questions cause i never used touchflo before
1. how do you use the cube?
2. how do you access the random access menu?

i went on the touchflo setting app, and set it to "center to bottom"
i go to the main screen, and touch the center of the screen and swipe to the bottom, but nothing happens.. i tried searching, but everything just says how to install touchflo cube, not how to use it

EDIT: i soft-reset, and apperently the cube is now working... still dont know about the random access menu....
edit: i dont think its called random access
its that menu thats says "dial a phone number or select a task from below"

Hey what's up guys,

I downloaded the Vista rom and it was working great, until the start menu would lock up on me everytime I pressed it.
I'm not sure if I did the flash right, I probably did if I was able to play with it for about 20 minutes after it started locking up.
I flashed it the way I did with the Open Touch roms.. any suggestions??

I figured out the problem, I had went into advanced config and enabled the animated windows which had turned it black. I disabled it and it is running fine with the omap utility.The cube runs quite well also.

I installed the dialer and found that the star key has to images there for when in the dialer keypad it looks completely awesome except for the one star key :mad: looked through the original zip file i downloaded with no success finding the PNG files. any help?

I think I saw some users have problems with TouchFlo...

About TouchFlo. Works great for me. What I did is:
(1) set View mode to "Top to bottom" in TFSettings,
(2) Just save in TouchSettings

After restart I used Stylus to practice, and when I learned with stylus, I started to use top of the nail - this is not iPhone screen...

Put your nail on the top of the screen, and move it to the bottom, TouchFlo will pop-up, now use it (move finger) from left to right to scroll through cube...

wow it only took 23 pages until someone finally answered this. Thank you! Now I can sleep.

Thanks for that info, but I never thought to look in another one since I am using this vista one from this thread. So should I search another thread to find out why batterystatus in this rom is not working also so no one has to explain it to me againx3? (not that I have ever asked for help....yet at least)

Oh I will keep switching but I want to use them all for a few days first. I already do not like having to add in the slide and the lack of office (yes I know I can install it) and no voice dial. Plus the whole point of me doing this is to pick the one I like and not be forced to take something someone else wants me to have eh. But I might try your 11-15 over the weekend if I feel confident in doing it a way I have not tried.

Please help I reflashed my wing with a diffrent rom, at start up I get your first "touch-it" screen plus the two new rom's start-up screens. Can you tell me how to delete your start-up screen since its not in the start-up animation folder in the reg thanks!

Hey guys just wondering what the point of a ROM is? sorry I am a noob. Because I noticed when viewing Poorlyduck's vista suite's thread, there is everything you need in the folder you download, right? A cube, etc.

edit; i might as well ask so I can get the answers at the same time, Sometimes when I close the cube I get graphic glitches and there are empty title bars on certain things that I open, is that normal? or is there a fix?

i love the cook itje. very nice. VERY fast on my wing.

But can someone explain this "cube" thing to me. Because i can get it to come up, and it comes up randomly where i touch on my screen, and after its up none of the buttons work... and quite frankly its anoying. so i decided to go to the TFSettings and turn it off. Turned it off. reset. still there.

Edit: took a look at it again, and i think i seemed to have turned it off.

So, yeah, cool rom! :D
