Prophet Shadow Vista "My Edition"

Okay.. This is another ROM for Prophet. I called it Shadow Vista "My Edition". Moded from Maxniper Vista Edition (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=373970). Maybe this is the lite edition and fully Vista Style.. Why fully Vista Style.. I changed the icon to Vista Style.. and also made a vista wait cursor too. sound interresting right...
But if you want a full VISTA ROM with all program.. So better to use Maxniper Vista Edition (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=373970)
Most Grafic Design are based on Poorlyduck's Vista suit grafics.Thanks .. thanks and thanks..
I do some fix from Maxniper Vista Edition. And removed some Programs to make it smaller.
This ROM is using new Upgrade Methode.. Make sure you have HARDSPL your device.

They are two kind of ROM. But they are just different from Welcomescreen. and The Version with bubles on welcomescreen (second edition) have no Internet sharing and remote desktop ( this application are removed). So second edition has a bit more storage.

How to make ROM more faster without Overclock.( Actually it's already fast).

SdConfig.txt and Cabs

So you need to copy this two files to SD Card to make it User Customizeable.

Just put cabs that you want to be auto install .

and edit th SDConfig.txt , if you add something

this is the original one.

LOCK: Disabled

So you have to edit it to this one ( if you add abxd.cab )

Bug im having with this ROM and max's new ROM, when I enter sounds and notifications, i cannot exit by pressing ok button or touch screen, i can only press the red button, so changes are not saved. I have this problem on both my G3 and G4 with both ROMs.

so you can add the installer from SD card, and will auto install too to the ROM.

After 2 days of testing, Hard reset many times, the problems I am facing with are : bluetooth (can be repaired after soft reset) and backlight (sometimes cannot turn off, unless softreset :( ). Pin loses so fast.

then anybody can uninstall anything he doesn't want.
for example you give a clean rom with the beautiful vista theme and a patch of cab files in UC format , then anybody can edit & install anything he wants from it .

I wish there was some way to bypass this step and run an automatization tool. It takes nearly 1 hour for installing and costumizing my ppc after each rom upgrade. I want a tool for automatically instaling the can file in device and storage card, and a tool to find registry changes after each tweak to run them together.

and what's the shape of the dialler ? there's not a picture of it.

and how can we remove the htc home completely ?
i just wanna use spb mobile shell for some time

Before i used this version i had the Aero Special Edition and i was very confident with it. No lags or bugs like in os' of other users.
One little thing: Could u add or post in the board something like a changelog, so that the users can see what changes u do, and decide to download a new version or wait some days.. because i think u do not only update the things recognized by the users, also bugs found by yourself

I don't want a clean clean rom , I just wanted to be able to remove any part of it that I don't want.

it is easy if it's in the uninstall list, but if it's not , I don't know which files or registry entries I should remove.

1. use the Advance Config. tool to enable / disable the DTMP,

Hi any news on the bluetooth issue? tried various radios and have nothing installed? it won't work... devices see my prophet and the prophet can see devices, but get error when sending anything, or trying to make partnerships? any help would be good...

If you mean START > SETTINGS > BEAM, the "Receive all incoming Beams" is ticked (Enabled). and just to make sure, beam is activated in Comm manager...?????

HARD RESET first.. and see..

free memory that i mean is the ram memory.. not storage memory..

this ROM has 27 MB free ram memory.. and should be enough for all aplication.

the easiest way is check the spl info at the first boot

It should be like this.. When not.. it is not already HARDSPL.

can you please advised me on how can i upgrade my device to the shadow Vista My Edition :confused:

Okay.. actually Enable Sound on Call is a registry file

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Att enuation]
"0"=dword:00000001
"2"=dword:00000002
"1"=dword:00000005

And it is enable..

To disable it.

Just change "0" to 0

so with this registry key.. you can hear a song while you calling someone..




And at this ROM. it is already activated.

OKay.. I think I know your problem..


I think , it is a Backlight settings problem. You must have a wrong setting



okay.. first you have to go to

setting/systems/backlight

then go to battery power and external power

Make sure that you check the setting

turn on backlight when a button is pressed or the screen is tapped

On standard settings, it is checked. Both of them.

I think , it is a Backlight settings problem. You must have a wrong setting

sorry, my settings were correct. It is a pitty, I still don't have a solution and it is even worse, after a few minutes the prophet seems to be blocked completely since my phone is not ringing either.

Keep bluetooth switched on is not a solution, maybe I have to change my radio version. Anyway, I will first try a hard reset.


I think that I found the problem. First I did a hard reset, but I didn't install batterystatus, now everything seems to work normal. Could batterystatus be the problem? I also found while working with batterystatus (built the last built 285 or with built 276) that it was sometimes a problem to switch bluetooth on and maybe there is a conflict with comm manager too. Has anyone have the same problem and is there a better batterystatus version available?

It seems that there is no problem with korand 6.1 www3.1 version. I don't understand since they both using the same version of OS. Who can find the solution. I like this rom very much, it is the nicest rom, beautiful graphics, but I like batterystatus and all its features too.

varanusvincent, can you make ring tone trimming work in AudioManager? That's the main thing i use it for.

Edit: Something installed in the extRom makes my Today Screen not work well. Can you list what's installed? I know that because it shows my operator before it's installed, but afterwards, it doesn't, as well as not changing the time.

You can use 2.69.11 to your pda.

I finally found the problem for my freeze problem. Since I wanted to keep this great rom, I have flashed again and without other apps and I installed my apps one by one until I found that the stowaway keyboard driver caused the problem. I uninstalled it and now this rom is running like hell. thx a lot!

I use for myself 2.19 , since this RADIO ROM is the official RADIO ROM for O2 XDA Neo in Germany.

And I recharge my device each 4 or 5 days in normal use.

"HARDCORE" use .. mm each 2.5 days.

"Supercore" use.. mm each 1.5 days. This just happened once.. Cos, I flash my device 30 times in a day.. with different ROM..:( that I tested

So at that condition I need to charge it. To make battery more than 50 %.

Before I was using 6.0 Shadow Touch and got 7 days normal use.

When upgraded to 6.1 Shadow Vista (still with 2.69 radio rom) and hardreset
I get about 12 hours in STANDBY without any use...

Downgrading the radio rom to 2.19 improved battery performance a bit,
but I think I forgot to do a hardrest, I'll do that now and see it it changes anyting.

Standard on My ROM , the program memory has 27 MB free.

You can raise it actually, if you one.

But you will lose it speed.

But I think 27 MB is enough, right?

maaf nmas, sy mmg agak kurang hati2, tapi apa boleh buat nasi sudah jadi bubur,.. setelah sy ikuti petunjuk disini akhirnya berhasil sy upgrade dgn versi yang lain utk wizard (SNN Edition Version 2.0). cm masalahnya sekarang layar PDA saya tambah sering error di layar. layar berupa seperti diacak2 gt,tdk bisa terlihat gambar layarnya krn layar teracak, kadang gambar kembali normal dgn sendirinya, tp klo stanby dan sy tekan tombol on maka layar akar kacau lagi, tp meskipun layar kacau semua masih berfungsi normal, cm tampilan tdk bisa diliat di layarnya. kira 2 ada hubungan dgn hardware atau software? please solusinya... terima kasih sebelumnya...

I install this Rom on a S200 of 2 friends and on both the BT is not working proparly. They can send file via BT but not receive. Even if there are reachable and visible...

I am using this WM6 version but I really don´t like the Quickmenu.
I would prefer the other little tool with the Overclocking possibility and the different way of "Taskmanager" I can´t remember the name of that tool but you were using it in your former versions as well.
I also remember that not all versions were running with each ROM.
Do you have a correct version available to share with us?

I want to ask you about the Bluethoot stack version on this WM6, since I have the problem with MS Voice Command, that it didn't anounce incoming calls, and seems related to that. I read this:

"Voice Command will not announce incoming calls on devices with the MS BT stack until Windows Mobile 5.3+. Windows Mobile does not support inband ringtone in the MS BT stack until 5.3. You are able to get this on the HP because you have the widcomm stack"

So, if we have a modern MS BT Stack, maybe the Inband Ringtone feature is disabled. I tryed before the patch files for Voice Command, that were posted on this site, they fix this issue but I'm unnable to start a call using my BT car kit, I can receive incoming calls, but not make any. Also if I request the list of songs stored on the SD, it begins to speak, and in the 4th theme, it stops, this works fine without BT (on the internal speaker) or with the wired stereo headset.

Firstly, this rom is stunningly beautiful and has most of the apps I need. It is well put together and is very fast. kudos.

I have been using k0rand's rom since Feb with no issues except that I have to install everything myself on top, it is not UC compatible and, well, it doesn't look anything like this good.

I am using Radio 2.19 as recommended. I always hard-reset before testing.

I have an iqua blueooth headset for taking calls. It works fine on k0rand's rom. On this one, the other person cannot hear me at all but I can hear them.

Now for the interesting bit which may help find the cause of the problem. If I soft-reset before the customization bit happens then although I can't see the dial pad (it's not installed), the headset works perfectly. Is it possible that it is a problem with the dial pad or some other software that is installed during the customization phase?

I really like this rom and want to keep using it. But I can't live without my headset as I use it when driving. I will try a different dialpad and see if that fixes it. Otherwise, I'm back to k0rand's rom and looking for a way to make it UC-friendly.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Sorry, a full hard reset later and just turning off the dialpad is not enough, I need to not allow customization to run for it to work. Any ideas?

Have the same problem.
Solution:
Push "call" button, click menu and options, setting will appear
Go to "Services" tab, click "Voice Mail and Text Messages" and click "Get Settings.." icon
Put the setting manually (If you have both, put it both or just put in Text Messages).
Click OK.

also, is there any way to change the comm button to something else? maybe work as alt+tab like in other roms. coz i always hit it when i take it out of my pocket.

What "MMS Problem" there are numerous things that could not work, and just saying "Problem" doesn't help people sort it...

To change the buttons, go into Start->Settings and then tap on buttons...

USE - CONNECTION WIZARD to set up basic GSM parameters which includes GPRS connection. But Network Wizard do not set up MMS.

You need

a. Go to Settings / Connection and add new modem connection - put access point as provided by operator.

b.Stat Message app and choose MENU --> MMS Option then selece SERVERS tab. Here You have to fill the proper fields acording to the data of Your provider.

Works like a charm..

Okay.. actually Enable Sound on Call is a registry file

And it is enable..

To disable it.

Just change "0" to 0

so with this registry key.. you can hear a song while you calling someone..




And at this ROM. it is already activated.

Thanks for this great ROM. It may not be the fastest, but I like the way it looks and works and it has what I need.

I noticed that there is an upgrade available for the version of the audio manager included with this ROM. As I'm relatively new to this -- is there any special process I should follow to upgrade (besides the usual installing from CAB)? I'm assuming the audio manager was installed in extROM, so what implications does that have for me if I want to install the upgrade? Will I just end up with the programme twice, the old version in extROM and the new in storage?
