31th of December will still be in 2nd half of 2008 but will most certainly be a long wait... :p

But then again maybe the X1 will be the first flagship from Sony Ericsson that will not be delayed - you never know... I wouldn't bet my money on it ;)

Whatever...you can always wait for tech to get better. That's a long wait, so it's not even worth mentioning really.

I want it, but I want to keep my kaiser too . . What to do what to do. . .

I really cannot see any reason what so ever for changing the Kaiser with the X1. I think the screen and the camera on the Kaiser is very nice and basically isn't that the only differences on the two models apart from the design?

Another good reason to "trade up" is...

For us in the US, and on T-Mobile, we will not be able to utilize 3G when it is completely rolled out, right? I heard that T was rolling it out in the 1700 MHz band. If that is the case, then no 3G for TyTN users.

:(

well i'm for the looks for the xperia...altho it doesnt tilt as much as the TytnII i'd still want it...the silver...mmm...reminds me of my old p1i...and the optical navigation pad...however taht works...should be awesome too...i hope

If quake doesn't run on it then I don't see why I would trade.

2009 release was a mistake it will be second half of this year :)

I am extreamly tempted by it, largly due to the sony camera, and if the build quailty is like that of my old w800i and w850i then its a huge bonus.

I've been holding off on the Tilt to see how this is going to pan out. But what I've seen of the Experia X1, I'll be heading down that road....

If you want to play Quake (and other 3D accelerated (!) games), get a second-hand Dell Axim x51v. 10000 times better than the Tilt.

Wow, I am blown away by some of the comments here. The screen resolution of the X1 is enough. 800x480 is even better than Diamond, and the 3" screen is sweet. Enough to make me drool. And at 140g it's 25% lighter than the Kaiser. Now port the Manila interface from Diamond to it, and we are in business ;)

The Sony Ericsson EXPERIA X1 has upgraded its RAM to 256 MB- again, better than the Diamond...

It's better than the Diamond in many respects - particularly when it comes to the size of the built-in storage.

I got tired of waiting :D I really do like the look of the X1 - maybe I'll give it a look next year. But I'm really quite happy with my LG KS20 at the moment. I went from a Wizard to the KS20 - the appealing features being the small form factor, the lack of bulk added by the keyboard which I found I didn't use anyway. The form factor of the X1 looks brilliant though - the keyboard looks really neat and usable - I found some of the built in keyboards too difficult to use because of the key size and shape - the Wizard was good because of the spacing. Things like that are quite personal though, I guess you need to get your hands on it to see how you like it.

Although the diamond is beautiful the lack of expansion cards put me right off. It's not just physical capacity - I quite like to swap out my cards occasionally - I don't want all my work stuff on my phone when I'm on holiday for instance, or permanently having my satnav card in.

The specs from what I've seen on the X1 are great. It will be very expensive on release though, especially here in the UK. Early adopters always pay the price and all that :D

Yup, 4GB only... it's a BIG mistake, particularly on a VGA Windows Mobile device (read: 1) if you want to watch movies, you will want to use high-bitrate ones 2) WM doesn't support HE-AACv2; therefore, your songs will also take up a lot of storage)

It looks like a nice phone, but the screen is still just way too small. If it was a 3.5" or something that would be awesome.

I have to say, I'd be first in line for the Diamond to replace my Kaiser (I think I can live without the keyboard, now that I've had a good go with the 20-key Qwerty from the Diamond).

Unfortunately, I already struggle to get my music, videos, and satnav maps onto my 8gb MicroSD so the Diamond is DOA for me.

Real shame.

device without micro sdhc is no use for me,diamond is wack (batterie, and only 4 gb ,no sdhc)
vga is sweet but swalow batterie .

x1 should be the ultimate device.(just pray for good graphic drivers)

My first post: Hi everyone ^^

The X1 makes the way, i think... But its a too long wait for me (O2 Contract extend in July)... So i decided to take the Diamond. But some things confused me, every tells an another fact to this: 128MB or 192MB - aGPS or eGPS...

Just read some articule on the Xperia X1...

The US version of this phone sucks....no VGA camera, no H264 encoding.
