Well, My new Shift is on the way thanks to Clove.
BTW, totally recommend them. After numerous bad experiences with Expansys I switched some of my orders to Clove had great experiences with them so far.
So before I even open the box, I am plotting my upgrades. Starting with the anemic HD.
40GB is just not going to do it for me. I'd like to go with a minimum of 80GB.
I know I can pull an MK8022GAA from an iPod classic, but that comes with a ZIF connector I believe. The MK4009GAL standard in the Shift should be a LIF, and I think the equivalent Toshiba 80GB drive is 3mm thicker than the 40GB.
So, what to do? Any advice?
