View Full Version : Adapter-free Charger and Sync cables?

I'm looking for cables for charging and syncing my titan without the stupid adapters that come with it. I hate the combined plug for the headphones adn mini-usb. I don't want to have to tote around the adapter. Does anybody know where I can find these? I'd like a car charger, a sync cable, and maybe a wall plug charger. All depends on the price for what and how much I buy.

You can directly plug the charger into the phone, the only reason the adapter has an odd shape is to keep you from plugging it into other usb devices.

I use my car charger from my 6700 with no problem.

I thought the same as you, then figured out you can plug mini usb directly into phone. :)

wow, I feel a little stupid right now, but just a little bit because that wasn't exactly obvious. I'm really happy about that now though. That means the only real point of frustration is having to use two adapters to get to normal headphones or buy a new adapter. I'm just happy I can car charge and use a normal synce cable with no adapter. Thanks man, that's a big help.

I wouldnt charge my mogul in the car cause its so much easier to weaken your batter when charging inside a car

Can you explain this? I'm an electrical engineer, so I should understand any reasoning that you know of for this. I would think that all the charger is is a DC plug with a regulator to keep it from going over the rated 3.7 volts. Is the current higher than the wall plug? I don't get how this would work?

Only thing I could think of is that it charges at a higher amperage and that in turn makes the battery hotter. I compared my HTC wall charger with the USB car adapter I use and they have the same current and voltage.
