This rom is nothing special from the last one just more optimisation was included some bug fixes, i.e video call with the new touch dialler should work now, MMS recieving should work [ follow instructions in post 2] and some more.

KNOWN BUGS:MMS Recieving

The new MMS has issue receiving, I have been trying for days to fix it and only fix for sending and receiving MMS is as follows:
After HTC Connection setup and after device restarts try sending a MMS to yourself.
You should be able to send without no issue but you will possible not receive it.
Restart device after boot up depending on your network you might see MMS trying to receive, if this happens you will get an error saying unable to download message, this will end up seeing a un-read MMS in the today home plug-in
Resend another MMS to yourself and you should be able to send and receive MMS instantly.Missing Help files and ring vision install cab below:

I decided to take most of the help files out as most people dont use it including me als I deleted the ringvision ringtone by mistake.

There are two versions of this Rom a Cube version and a non-cube version which basically is self-explanatory. I will try and complete the lite version when i get some more time.

To manually Configure MMS

Go into the registry and put in the settings.

HKLM_Software_Arcsoft_ArcSoft MMS UA_Config_mm1_MMSCSetting_Sample MMSC

there you can input the data manually without having to use the MMS options.

You should export this registry key using Resco Registry so you can add this everytime you flash a new ROM

Check the UC thread on exactly how to do this.

FIX THE COMM Manager from not closing

Fix is simple. Those of us with HTC Task Manager installed have it on the exclusions list. Just remove it, and it will close when you hit the X button as well as show up on the open programs list if you don't close it.

Delete "CommManager."

Soft reset.

UC Package for Novice Users

I came up with an idea to create a UC package for Novice users.

I put in a lot of free apps / Trial Software and themes that I have compiled.

Feel free to try it out and tell me what you think.

I am thinking about creating some more packages one designed for Multi-Media, and other one designed for business users, etc.

Test it out and let me know what you guys think. I have included instructions with it and a list of apps.

You will have to re-flash the ROM if you want. I will work on another one tonight when I have more time...but here is a base one to try out.

Testing out right now 1.64.08.21...it's about a wash on battery life.

going back to 1.58.21.23 since it gives me the best performance with this ROM.

I use it a ton, trust me. I dont however use RSS hub and keep the net running constantly but I do get about 50 sms and mms per day, surf the net about 2 hrs a day and play a ton of games. on my last bil i had over 120,000kb of data. You do the math. I use it plenty and no, I dont recharge everyday. Worst case scenario, I might have to charge every other night at worst case.

Actually 3 days is pretty decent usage utilizing internet often, phone calls, text messaging, and the PS emulator. I use it for my business, and quite honestly before I was charging nightly. Now I am not and I use it the same if not more.

Love the rom, only one thing: In the previous version of the rom, threaded texting responded much faster and displayed a character count in the task bar area. Anyone have any ideas about changing texting to behave that way in this rom?

Just as a note, I am running the non-cube version, a wm 6.1 radio, and I did hard reset at the tap screen.

Thanks for the hard work, Dutty. I just flashed this rom and followed the MMS solution. Althou I got it work, after I deleted all the MMS messages, the folder was still showing 1 item (thou it's absolutely empty). is this a problem? thx!!!

Mine did the same thing. After a few minutes and soft resets I gave up and just did a hard reset. No big loss since nothing was installed yet.

So for anyone else. Get the MMS to work before doing anything else.

1.) You have to press the red end key for the display list

2.) /windows/welcomehead.96.png Change that file. Use Ultimate Launcher or Resco Explorer as File Explorer will not let you copy the folder to the windows directory.

Date & Time

This involves editing the registry so be very careful when do this. I take no responsibility if this harms your device in any way. NOTE: changing the date on the HTC home will also change the date for the way you view files in Explorer or Total Commander.

First open PHM Regedit located in Start > Programs > Utilities > PHM Regedit.

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / nls / overrides

There you will see SSDte & STFmt

To edit the date to a format to look like: 4:20PM change the value data to h:mm:ss tt

To change the date to example: Feb 12, 2008 edit the SSDte value data to MMM dd, yyyy

ddd = Day of the week ex. Wednesday
mm = month
yy / yyyy = year

You can adjust the date to whatever you want to see it as.

That's the point I was trying to make. If you look at the semi-official WM6.1 Build that were released they all came with a defualt pp of 6mb, but in all actually the PP changer doesn't work correctly and the actual PP of all Kaiser ROM's is 12. So what I did is change it to 6 which is stock / default on the official WM6.1 ROM's, to see if I noticed any difference. Didn't really see a difference but it does do something to the SPB benchmarks so obvioulsy it changed something, but this is still some what inconclusive.

Yes this is the newest release the RTM one. This ROM is very fast...probably the fastest ROM I have ever used. As far as battery life I am seeing pretty good battery life on my end :) Works well with the radio I am using

Yes you have to do this manually.

Change the .tsk, change the icons via HTC Home Customizer, change the Comm manager to a different one if you like.

The options are endless.

I do like this build though, it is much better than the Feb 20th build, thank you very much, Dutty! I used many other roms on my TYTN but my Tilt works great with Dutty's roms and I must say that I stick with his and have been very pleased with the results. I'm not a big cube fan but it does work great (I use the "vista cube" skin).

That's the point I was trying to make. If you look at the semi-official WM6.1 Build that were released they all came with a defualt pp of 6mb, but in all actually the PP changer doesn't work correctly and the actual PP of all Kaiser ROM's is 12. So what I did is change it to 6 which is stock / default on the official WM6.1 ROM's, to see if I noticed any difference. Didn't really see a difference but it does do something to the SPB benchmarks so obvioulsy it changed something, but this is still some what inconclusive.

This is really very fast I am very happy. I have one question as usual, is there a way to activate Jog Wheel so that I can nevigate on the HTC home icons. I was able to do it with the older version v2.1.1005.722. I had a cab file called "HTC.Home.v2.1.1005.722.Directory.And.Brightness.Fi x.schen" when I install that it fix the problem (if this is considered as a problem at all) but massup the icons :eek:.

May be a stupid question but in the cube-less rom, do the favorite people automatically get saved, because I know in dutty's previous rom you had to set the favorites within the cube so it would be saved after resetting. What is the process for this in the cube-less rom?? Hope it makes sense

GPRS/EDGE is always going to give you more battery life over 3G. This is true with any 3G phone not just the Tilt / Kaiser

I just remember that I deleted most help files in the rom and probably deleted the ring vision ringtone as well, for all who need these i will create a cab for this and upload soon.

Als oI havent seen anyone mention this as yet but in The com manager button internet sharing button doesnt work its pointing to WMODEM which I taken out the rom, just use shaps advance config to change to another button.

Try downloading the latest version of Winzip. Also, use the password in the first post. That worked for me.

I will wait to see if there are any other issues that can be corrected before I release the fixed, also trying to think how light I want to make the lite version.

Start->Settings->System(on bottom)->Regional Settings
Change it to English (United Kingdom) Then theres a time tab on the bottom, go through the options there and choose the one you like.

Well flashed this baby and man it is a fast one. haven gotten around testing the bluetooth yet , the issue with the comm manager internet sharing button which is being worked on (thanx Dutty).. my only question is this.. I noticed (on my tilt) that the cube transitions a little slower than on the non RTM release is there a way for me to edit the time it takes to transition from cube page to page.. right now it matches the speed of my friends "Touch"(which is fast), but prior to RTM even he could not believe how fast the cube moved..

I had the same thing occur. I just went into the menu and selected
tools-->clear sms/mms and they went away. Haven't had the problem since.

Dutty, Thank You for this great rom. This is the first 6.1 I have been truly happy with. Thus far I have found no major bugs. The only hicup I had was getting the Time correct. I posted the reg fix for this earlier in the thread for those that cant get regional settings to fix it. I know it wouldnt fix it for me.
I also wanted to commend you for finding the workaround for the mms. I have tried every rom, radio, settings cab, and reg edit known to man. You found a simple method that would never have dawned on me. Great work! We all appreciate the time and effort everyone here at XDA puts into this stuff.:)

I haven't written a lot in these forums (English is not my mother language, so my apologies in advance if you find it poor), but I have been using your Roms since I became a member. I managed to find the answers to all my questions searching the forums, and I think the wikis and the "read first" intructions are quite clear for any newcomer who wants to flash a rom for the first time...

Besides, I will take this oportunity to thank also all the guys (Alltheway, P1tater and many others) who update the wikis and patiently answer continuosly the same questions. Thanks for being sensitive and for understanding that for a rookie is almost imposible to read a thread of 200 pages, and sometimes the specific doubt is not clearly answered in the wikis or they are not skilled enough to make an accurate search. Of course this does not mean that I agree with those who does not try to read a bit (at least the wikis!) before asking, but means that this community is getting bigger and bigger thanks to those who help newcomers and remember that they, also, were noobs time ago.

Dutty, I will wait for the fixed Rom before flashing, but I have already made a donation to encourage your dedication. ;)

I also have the problem that I can connect any data connection with USB plugged-in to the computer. I do have the wmdc setting checked that should allow data connections.

must say, never got any performance changes eighter in SPB nor in VS Benchmark...

12 hours installed :)

I have found one thing odd...I do get sound and am running a 1.6x radio, however I get no SMS/Incoming Email notifications.

In sound/notifications it is set for Play Sound, but nothing happens

Remember, am running a proper WM 6.1 radio, was using Dutty's first 6.1 ROM and it was fine

Yes, I performed a Hard Reset immediately after flashing as described in many roms' descriptions now (Up until about 3 months ago, I had no clue what it was, but Dutty posted it in one of his releases). I see the connection icon that says that there is no internet connectivity and that icon changes when I'm connected via WiFi, but I don't have actual internet connectivity on my account because I'm a cheap bastard... I just want it to show the various 3G/E/etc. icons. Am I missing something? I did a search and checked Wikis and looked around in the HERMES forums (my first WM device that got me hooked on this site)...

dutty, thanks. this ROM (using the non-cube version) is thisclose to perfection. my experience (after hard-resetting, of course):

first the issues: 1) using regional settings, i can't change the long date style that appears in HTC home. i know there's a registry fix...i'll find it.

2) in navigation, the GPS appears to lag by about two seconds. i used to marvel at how accurage TomTom was at showing my location...the second i hit an intersection or passed a particular street, TomTom would show me at that intersection or at that street. now, i hit an intersection or a street, and the TomTom arrow is behind by about a second. this is NOT a major problem. i got a GPS fix in about 40 seconds on a very cloudy day here in NYC and voice prompts still come on in plenty of time. this could just be me nitpicking looking for any differences.

and that's it. everything else (GPS, texting, calls, multi-tasking, the most common programs, TCPMP, etc.) works perfectly right out of the box. smooth, fast, stable. great. but i don't know about the battery yet. with the last ROM, i had the MMS receive issue. however, i've been able to successfully send myself an MMS from the phone and through e-mail using 10-digit wireless number@mms.att.net.

an interesting side effect: with this and the last ROM (using Polaris radio 1.58.21.23), my neighborhood has now become an HSDPA-only zone. The H is always present immediately from boot-up and never goes away until I drive to other areas.

I had to delete the partnership on my phone to get it to sync w/ WMDC. I have no issues connecting to ActiveSync via Windows XP Pro SP2. WMDC is just a weird creature. I am still having slight issues with it not staying connected. I plug my phone in, I hear the sound that it's connecting and about 15-20 seconds later I hear the sound that it's disconnected. I will try a reboot like you said. Haven't really had any other issues, but I will perform a reboot tonight...and yes tired different USB port but I think I need a new USB cable...Need to steal one from a blackberry user here at work. They never use them anyways and blackberry USB cables are way better than the stock HTC ones :)

did you go into start/settings/connections/USB to PC and uncheck the "enable advanced network functionality"?

i was having a similar problem with activesync and this cleared it right up.

I put in a lot of free apps / Trial Software and themes that I have compiled.

Feel free to try it out and tell me what you think.

I am thinking about creating some more packages one designed for Multi-Media, and other one designed for business users, etc.

Test it out and let me know what you guys think. I have included instructions with it and a list of apps.

You will have to re-flash the ROM if you want. I will work on another one tonight when I have more time...but here is a base one to try out.

I have no problem with TomTom just tried last night it works fine for me I have the tilt and use T-mobile in CA.

:confused:I still have the question about the HTC home not responding to jog dial, is there a way to fix it or should I wait the light version.

Yes you can use mine as a base and add the applications that you want. It's really just as simple as editing a .txt file. Pretty simple. Just gives users a little base to work with.

I'm still having trouble with the mms messaging. I did like dutty said and ran the att customization, then restarted, then sent myself a message. I didn't receive it, so i restarted again. When i restart it tells me that a new message has been downloaded, but my inbox is empty. I cleared the mms/sms messages, which got rid of that problem. Unfortunately when i restart my phone it goes back to not receiving messages again. I can send one, restart, and then i'll receive the message that i cannot look at all over again. I'm stuck in a loop. Is anyone having this same problem? I tried hard resetting several times. My next thought was to flash the rom again, but i'm not sure if that would help anything. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is just to add to this. This behaviour does not only affect USB. I have the same issue connecting via bluetooth.

MMS, I tried to send a Mms to myself but it keep connecting to my 3G connection and drop and connect and drop. I am sure it was not my data service issue as I can browse web without any problem. Only a soft reset can stop this. Same if I sent Mms to an email address.

I'm seeing the same thing going on here. After a SR I can no longer receive mms, weird stuff. Other than that awesome ROM.

It connects and downloads perfectly, but when I click view or click on the conversation it brings up a blank conversation box and says loading message at the bottom but does nothing. So I'm receiving with no issues, I just can't view the MMS or the conversation it is attached to.

So I'm receiving with no issues, I just can't view the MMS or the conversation it is attached to.

Is anyone having a problem loading a text conversation that includes an MMS? I am having no problems receiving the MMS. It connects and downloads perfectly, but when I click view or click on the conversation it brings up a blank conversation box and says loading message at the bottom but does nothing. So I'm receiving with no issues, I just can't view the MMS or the conversation it is attached to.

I know you dont want to hear this, but I had the same issue on first flash and the only way I was able to fix it, without getting too in depth, was to do a Hard Reset. Sorry.:(

This is just to add to this. This behaviour does not only affect USB. I have the same issue connecting via bluetooth.

I flashed this rom and it looks great but I just noticed that I do not have any sound and my camera is not working (it shows the settings but the screen is black)...Any ideas?!?!?!?

change ur radio to a 6.1 radio. not a 6.0 radio

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I don't want to disable all sounds (i.e. notifications, etc) in WM6. I just want to get rid of the chirp/pop sound whenever I hit the start menu button. I don't want to get rid of system sounds completely like the option in the Sounds prederences does. I just updated from the stock Kaiser ROM and it didn't have these annoying sounds.
