I tried to flash my phone with RUU_Kaiser_HTC_WWE_3.03.405.0_radio_sign_25.70.40. 02_1.64.06.04

There was a connection error at 17%, now when i restart my phone I just get the tri-colour screen with;

KAIS130
SPL-1.81.0000
CPLD-8

Serial

Any idea how I can recover this? :) If I plug my USB cable it it lets me try and flash the phone but it tells me Invalid Vendor ID.

I managed to start flashing this initially using JumpSPL1.93-KAIS.exe

Now I dont see how I can load this to flash it again.

The phone was originally on Orange.

Help! :)

Have you read all the number of topics about HARDSPL and CID unlock...???

It looks like you didnt use that first if i look to your bootloader and error message...... If you did it i apologize....

I dont know how to fix it, hopefully for you someone else does...

If you can't figure it out contact me via MSN IM. (gsleon3@hotmail.com).

Boy, I'd be a very rich man if I started charging for this!

There are several steps you need to take & each SPL has different commands that can be used. Don't try entering any random commands or you could just kill your device. As of this moment there's probably a ninety percent chance I can get it running again.

Honestly, you could start up a nice side business doing Tech Support for ROM Flashing. There is certainly a large enough customer base :D

But then again...XDA is all about free sharing...which is what all of us love about it. Anyway, you are providing a well appreciated service!

In the future, I would suggest you read through the Sticky thread and the Wiki before attempting to make any changes to your device. You missed probably the single most important step in the entire process if I'm reading this right. Something that's screamed from the rooftops of pretty much every single thread and is listed in at least a dozen of the Kaiser Wiki pages. You have had to work really hard to miss this information...and for that I am impressed. The sheer dedication needed to avoid something that is regularly posted in huge text using a veritable rainbow of colors across multiple discussions in several forums nearly simultaneously boggles the mind. I bow before your superior technique in knowledge avoidance. It is rare that I have a chance to bask in this glory of a true master.

Seriously tho...from now on please read the stickies and wikis before you do things to your toys...it'll save you from making very expensive bricks.

Well another successful operation using my two step MTTY method! :D

After a 17% flash (w/o hardspl) he had four bad blocks. Using the MTTY commands for his SPL (1.81) it was just a matter of flush the blocks.

Walked him thru HardSPL & lesson was learned. ;)
