I have been struggling for 6 months to get to the bottom of my problem without success, can someone help me with some info....
Problem: Push e-mail doesn't work correctly... Max Heartbeat I can get is about 780 seconds (see log in activesync directory on pda) on 2G , with 3G I can't get a successful ping from the server at all, so the pda is syncing every 480 seconds... which is pointless, and killing my battery.
I have swapped the sim with a vodafone sim and heartbeat goes to around 1200-1400 seconds and the TCP stays connected for hours, so all working fine.
I need to know if anyone else on T-mob Uk is experiencing the same? Maybe most people don't realise that their push isn't working and just receive mail after the timeout.
Second problem.... When using 2G only, if I loose signal (ie travel through a tunnel) the phone reconnects but doesnt reconnect the data connection (shows connected with icon, but no data can be passed the the net). The only way to restore is to turn flight mode on and off to reset the conenction....
Again, this only happens on T-mob , not Vodafone.
I'm testing this with a hermes and Kaiser, using t-mob contract, payg and Voda sim.
What heartbeat intervals are people getting on T-mob UK with push enabled?
many thanks
