This might be a silly question. Is it possible to put Palm OS on Hermes? Given WM is so unstable.

The shortened long answer is yes but you're going to spend a lot of time/money developing a platform that ties the OS to the hardware - the short answer, NO.

That said,

WM isn't nesc unstable - it's the poorly written programs you (or sometimes your phone company) install onto WM that make it unstable. I had my StrTrk running for over a year with out reset before I got my Hermes and I had a stable rom installed once on my Hermes that I had gone at least a month without restarting and I suspect I could have gone much further but the flashing bug grabbed me again! :) If you have a known stable rom and you're having stability problems, take a close look at the programs you have installed and you will likely find the cause. Then it becomes a choice, do you prefer stability or that program - I've found most of the programs that caused instability, I was able to replace with another programs with similar functionality and greater stability!

YES..Yes and yes...

Google and search for: STYLETAP.

It's the PALM OS (emulated) for WM5 or 6, but works with 90% of the Palm programs. It's like dual-booting for Mac/XP :)

It uses the 8525 hardware so you can beam via infrared. Not sure if bluetooth works on it though..

nice find......that's not like dual booting mac/xp, more like running a virtual pc or maybe even more like wine in linux, but still nice find though
