ok if you want to make your own rom
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
tools need |
1 winRAR |
|
2 EmEditor |
xxxxx means your user name |
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 right click on any rom upgrade then click right then extact files
2 a new folder will be made with the same name as your rom
3 in that folder youll find six files you need the one that is named RUU_signed.nbh
4 extract rom tool to desktop
5 click startmenu click run then type cmd.exe a black window will open
6 from rom tools drag NBHextract.exe to the black window
7 then click space then drag RUU_signed.nbh to the black window
so on the black window it will look like this....

C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxxx\>"C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxx\Desktop\Rom Tools\NBHextract.exe" C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxxx\Desktop\RUU_signed.nbh
8 click enter it will extract 2 files mainsplash.nb os.nb to C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxx
9 now go to C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxx minimize window
10 drag prepare_imgfs.exe from rom tools to the black window
11 then click space then drag os.nb from C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxx
12 then type -nosplit
so on the black window it will look like this....

13 this will extract 2 files imgfs_raw_data.bin & imgfs_removed_data.bin
14 now drag viewimgfs.exe from rom tools to the black window then click space
15 then drag imgfs_raw_data.bin to the black window
so on the black window it will look like this....

16 once the progrss has finshed go to C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxx\Dump
17 edit things in dump

this is how to edit default.hv user.hv

1 go to your dump folder and find default.hv user.hv
2 once found drag default.hv user.hv to your tool folder put in default.hv user.hv editer
3 click Disassemble.bat it will make 2 files hkcu.reg hklm.reg
4 open EmEditor and drag hklm.reg and save as UTF-16LE
5 drag hkcu.reg and save as UTF-16LE
6 close EmEditor
7 now drag hklm.reg to Notepad2.exe and edit as you like
8 now drag hkcu.reg to Notepad2.exe and edit as you like
10 click Reassemble.bat
11 if you get a error there is something wrong with hklm.reg or hkcu.reg find the error and fix it
12 once complete youll find default.hv user.hv in the dump folder in your rom tools
13 drag default.hv user.hv back to C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxx\Dump

now edditing InitCmd.ccs

1 open InitCmd.ccs with Notepad2.exe and edit it as you like

now to rebuild your rom

1 click startmenu click run then type cmd.exe a black window will open
2 drag BuildImgfs.exe from the rom tool folder to the black window
3 click enter
4 once finshed drag make_imgfs.exe from the rom tool folder
5 then drag os.nb from C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxxx\os.nb to the black window
6 click spece then type - nosplit
so on the black window it will look like this....

7 close black window
8 open htcrt.exe and click build
9 from device select Excalibur
10 change Version to what you want
11 now click os a window will open find os.nb from C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxxx\os.nb
12 then click splash a window will open find MainSplash.nb from C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxxx\MainSplash.nb
13 then click build save as RUU_signed.nbh and save to desktop
14 then drag RUU_signed.nbh to the rom you extracted from in step 1 in make your own rom and replace original one

1 app unlock your Excalibur
2 use Excalibur USPL- CID BYPASS
3 run ROMUpdateUtility.exe
