The mobile operator name is a funny story over the wm6 and 6.1 roms. In some 6 roms my operator name (=telenet) is displayed correctly, other roms gave me the other name (=mobistar), but I could change the name again to telenet using this registry change hklm/software/htc/ril/rilconfig/EnableSpnOnsEonsFeature change from "2" to "8"
Now all the 6.1 roms that I tried already have set this registry key to 8, but my operator. name is mobistar instead of telenet. I have searched everywhere in this forum, but couldn't find a solution. I have to add that the telenet operator is in fact a part of the other operator (mobistar).
Anybody to help?

I haven't a clue, but I suppose those names are stored some where in a tabel. Perhaps different ROM's use different tabels?

It is easy
just using a registry editor find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\RIL\Operator Names
Then add STRING VALUE.
You have to enter in VALUE NAME box the code of your operator and on VALUE DATA you have to enter the name you want to give to your operator...
In spain we have:
21401 spain vodafone
21402 spain movistar
21403 spain amena
21404 spain xfera
21407 spain telefonica movistar

Have a look on google to find which is yours.

Thx for the answer, I found that answer too on the forum, but the question remains:"why some roms are displaying the name correctly and others not?"

hi cesardeluxe, (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=406569)
Read my first post, the 6.1 roms have all the registry key set to 8, but my operator name is wrong, so I can't use that trick any more. That's why I am asking the forum.
