:(

I am sure you have all heard about the noods that have flashed their i600's with the i607 rom? Well I am on of them....:(

I have managed to power up the device and can conferm that only the "pda" part of the flashing procedure has taken place. I am also able to explore the SD card in the phone, but not much more than that!

Anyone that can point me to the original MW5, phone and pda rom ???

I will be attempting to load through the SD card...

Willing to do anything for help, well almost anything.... :)

thx

werner.

Well, it all started when Samsung anounced that you could upgrade your i600 with WM6. I tried the upgrade/ flash and to my surprize the flash rom was for the American version of the i600, the i607.

So, currently i am stuck with a very expensive paper weight.
The device now has WM6 on it, but only flashed the pda part of the device and not the phone aswell.

In short this means that I can not connect my device to the pc and try to undo what I have done, as the part of the device that communicates with the pc has not been flashed and thus can not connect to the pc.

But, I am able to power- up the device and explore the SD card. So I am hoping that I can find the correct pda and phone cab. to run from the SD card....????

PLEASE i NEED SOME HELP :(

Is your device detected when you plug it in in bootloader mode? (boot w/keys held down, same keys you used to do the flash originally)

If bootloader was not overwritten as you say (PDA portion only, not eboot) then you can simply flash back to i600 PDA portion. But if you used the .exe upgrader without a seperate .bin, you more than likely flashed eboot + PDA, and maybe phone at same time, overwriting the eboot code with the i607 eboot code has left you with no way to access the bootloader. This situation is unrepairable without special equipment to flash the chip directly without needing access to the bootloader.

Your only software based hope is something like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334667, combined with a modified SPL, might allow you to load an operational bootloader and successfully flash. Unfortunately there is little interest here for samsung devices, so you are pretty much on your own with that.. :(

If you have an expensive paper weight you have nothing to loose but a few minutes of your time.
