ive lost a weekend messing around with these different roms and although they look and run realy nice, untill one of you genius's make a rom for the tmobile mda mail im going to have to go back to my sh@tty tmobile 6.0 rom.

issues with email trying to use wifi, when these phones have no wifi!
issues with keypad mapping
and even after messing with settings and trying various cab files still no mms working.

there must be a uk guru out there??

Which ROMS have you tried?

I do not think I am understanding what you are saying. The T-mobile Dash/Excalibur has wifi, and wifi works in all of the ROMS i have tried including the stock t-mobile one.

You may have to configure some options in regard to internet/data and mms. Have you done any configuration under the Settings -> Connections -> GPRS menu? Each time you flash your phone, you have to reconfigure these settings.

Anyhow, I am not sure what you mean by the "tmobile mda mail." If this is a completely different device then the T-mobile Dash/Excalibur, then you have posted in the wrong forum; and I am surprised any of the ROMs on this forum even installed in the first place!

ive tried kavana 080307 and 080308.
tmobile mda mail has NO wifi! its like the dash in every way except this. tmobile uk must be tight wads.
subsequently email tries with gprs for a few seconds then goes to try wifi (get double arrow symbol in top right) then unsupprisingly no email.
i have configured gprs and internet explorer works (quite well infact).

That is bizzare. Is it possible to cook a ROM without wifi drivers? Sombody in the 6.1 thread said that they got their wing to work with it, perhaps they just dont use it for e-mail then. Do any of the other roms work with email? It would be a shame to have to downgrade to the stock tmobile ROM.

In the meantime, you should try this:

If you need help installing, just give me a shout :) It can be a real pain for the first time without the nice wizard that comes with the new 6.1 ROMs.

cheers burnsey but I get an error copying the file. Its connected via active sync and I'm using the most recent htc rom.

No idea why

EDIT - installed on reboot, GPRS & MMS seem to be working at last. :D
