Hi all,

Iīve searched for a while now, but canīt find a good solution.

Problem ( I think well known )
Always when setting the cursor to a text field or similar the keyboard pops up.

What I want:
Keyboard should only pop up when pressing the bottom bar SIP button.

NullKB or something like that will not help me because of no
hardware keyboard... my device is an ELF....

any suggestions?

thx a lot....

nobody knows how to configure that?

...and it looks like it's application controlled, not Registry set

But the strange thing is:

Iīve flashed different ROMs and the keyboard acts different ways.

Example:
ROM01:
Settings-System-About-DeviceID
-> keyboard pops up

ROM02:
Settings-System-About-DeviceID
-> keyboard doesnīt pops up

same "application" - different result... ??

...I don't have a clue
But if it pops up in one app and not in another, that could be seen as proff that it's app dependant, no?

Hm... it always pops up when cursor gets into a text field....

and best solution would be that keyboard never pops up - only when pressing the button in lower bar...

strange thing.... :-(

why dont you just set nullkb has the default then when you need to use a keyboard just select it from the pop up menu when you press the kb icon

Would be possible...

but with nullkb you have to tap twice to get the keyboard you want...
on the arrow and then you have to select the keyboard...

itīs a workaround... and thatīs what iīm using at the moment...

but it would be nice to tap just one time on the sip button...
