Hi,
I would like to dump the existing ROM on my Excalibur but do not manage to do it.
The bkondisk took runs and dumps data from the device but the OS img file seems to be corrupted.
Any idea?

I had the same problem. I tried to dump with pdocread, but wasn't successful.
I would really like to dump one too!

A detailed guide (for the Hermes, but it's worked on my i-mate JAQ; I've not been bothered enough to do it on my Dash but it should work) is available here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_HowtoDumpRom

This method seems to not working because the Excalibur hardware is different and the ROM is not written in the same type of hardware than Hermes.
Does anyone knows a solution?

I got that Hermes guide to work (thanks Kawinma).
What you have to do is substitute DSK1: (including the colon) everywhere the Hermes example has FLASHDR.
Took me a bit to figure that out.

OK, I have tried disk DSK1 but not with the column. I'll have a try when at home.
