Hello!

I read this posting:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1014335&postcount=1

I wonder if this is a good way to make an upgrade safe. Does it realy backup everything?
I should buy me a small miniSD-card, make a backup first and put this miniSD-card somewhere save. If I flash a new ROM and run into troubles some day, I could just take the sd-card and get back to the current state. Is that right? Does this backup includes ROM, ExROM, IPL/SPL, splashscreens and everything? Will it be CID locked again?
If this is true, this information should be added to all flashing tutorials.

Yes, I tried to get this information by seaching. Maybe I am just to stupid?!

Thank you very much!

Does realy noone knows what the SD backup realy does?

I saw the hint that people should get an SD backup from someone if the bricked their telephone. If it does not restore the whole thing you would get a mixture of your old ROM and the one from your friend. OK, it is better than a bricked one and you can flash now (hopefully).

Any information would be great. I would spend the money for an extra miniSD card if it would get me on the safe side.

As my personal exp.

The answer is No,

The stroyline is like this,

I got mess up with my sound driver, so i do hard reset and before that i backup everything.

After i restore i get back my sound driver and all my S/W, all cracked, so i think personally it DIND'T backup the ROM(my case my bad ROM)
