Just small instructions:
- extract content of storage card.rar to root on your storage card, then flash your device
- Don't activate/ deactivated beam over comm manager. coz wm6 and wm6.1 was a small different on registry structure. So u could using beam on settings -> connections tab

tried this ROM today. unfortunately it failed to install the customization and it hang on activating the Black_Vista.tsk. I have tried several times to do a hard reset, but no luck. also, the ROM has the BT issue and I could not connect my GPS receiver.

You will need to flash from your SD card to be sucessful with this one. Do some searching on this, Also the custimozation part in order for it to work correctly you will need to move the cabs and config.txt to your card BEFORE flashing.

I'm liknin this rom so far.. Very stable and quick!!

Thanks Abusalza, one more thing I can't make opera mini works with the included jvm. Is it only me? Went to mini.opera.com in PIE, download and it failed to run.

Any chance to replace current JVM with JBED in the next version? I think it runs better and with full screen it simply gives you much better browsing experience.

Jason, I just did a cab install with my network setting andd it works that way. I use att, hope that helps.

Ahh that "extra cloud" i think your talking about may be the custom'd icons in the TNT Rom. This rom doesn't have that it will adjust your sound perfectly with the scroll wheel. I've tested all the 6.1 roms and I have settled with this one myself. It's stable. And all the fetures you describe will work fine.. Enjoy..

I love the dailer on this rom and the rom has many features I use. I cannot get the video call to work other than that this is a great rom. Any ideas would be appreciated

The rom is perfect for my phone, I tried many roms: CRC, Pays, TNT etc. all are WM 6.1 core, but this one is the best with rarely freeze and hang.

It has different behavior depending if you press the flag or the word. I think when you press the flag it opens Quickmenu and when the word opens classic windows menu.

This rom is most stable one for running in these 2 days. But only a minor bug in the camera is that the storage location is prompted for choosing Memory Card is detected in everytime but it can't be chosen. In option, only Device or Network can be found. Why

You don't get it, do you. It's not that "my hands are crooked" - I've tried 3 times to flash this ROM unsuccessfully, every time waiting for a respond from the phone and still ended with a black screen, meaning my phone won't start up. Is this a poor reason to reflash to other ROM ? I'm a working person, have tons of work and don't have all day fcukin with the phone just to make it work.

Did you rerun your network wizard after you installed the MMS cab-this normally installed the correct settings for MMS to work.

i have reflashed twice, and found that it is when i installed language pack (simplified chinese) where it happens.

Can you provide us a compatible language pack?? one that wont mess up the SMS inbox.

seems to be very promising but i'm havin 2 major issues...one not recieving mms...could send but not recieve...and my ringtone volume is low...even when its set to its max...i was having the same issue with tnt and i changed...anything that could fix it otherwise i gotta change again

I have checked the memory , it is available I have also removed some software but the problem still persists . anyone has a solution for that problem ???

I am having the same problem. Something else is not recieving random calls.

Edit: I can copy an existing appointment and paste it as new, then edit and save. This is a temporary work-around I have found.

I've read other's complaints. I can say that i do not have any thus far.

It's been only 24 hr. But i'm finding it very nice and responsive.

There are some issues that i'm having w/ the internet connection etc.

Is there a way to update the network wizard w/ other countries/carrier settings?

I did have a cingular .cab file which i installed and i am able to get on internet. But i have some trouble w/ downloading my emails and also using mobi tv.

I switched from CRC r9....

For me it was excellent but was slowing down... i might face the same issues when i start to load on the other programs. But i'll post back.

Any suggestions and help welcome. and thanks in advance.

Search for network wizard was support for your country and get your setting. I was able to using my orange as modem (like now):)

Ok... bring on the jokes... because I'm sure after writing this, someone will have something smart to say.

Given the fact that so many people were able to install this with no problem leaves me wondering what I'm doing wrong. I've unrar'd this six times but only get the following error "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click ok to terminate the application." This error msg stems from double clicking on the RUUWrapper.exe file.

Help????? (I promise I'm not new at this... :) )

UPDATE: Appears it might be lack of .NET 2.0 framework on my computer... so I'm installing it now to see if that fixes it.

UPDATE #2: Yep, it was failing because I didn't have .NET 2.0 framework... so now comes the REAL testing! :)

Well, it's time to make a report.

I failed to launch PCM keyboard ( V.014) after success installing it. Nothing happens every time I choose PCM Keyboard as my keyboard pad.

I'm restarting the unit now... It kinda didn't make sense at first because i was looking for Network Wizard or similar... only to find out that his .CAB doesn't have a "name" on under it's icon...

Ok, so I've rebooted after installing the new network wizard... yet i still get notification that my network is STILL not supported and brings up a load of Asian networks... did you get that too? How does one find out if the USA settings took?

you installed the cab file correct? then restarted and went into the start-settings then connections tab on bottom, run connection setup icon looks like a globe with a star on it . under country select united states and under operator select t-mobile, hit ok and after a few seconds it will ask to reset and it should work, unfortunatley i am at work right now and have not installed the newest of this rom yet and dont trust the work computers to try it here yet. i will update this evening if the network cab does not work on this rom.

No, don't go to the trouble. I think everything is just fine. I just told the unit to "dismiss and don't show again" the notification for the Asia network settings that always pops up upon reboot. I just tested to see if the settings I told it to use were proper by setting up my weather location. The 8525 connected via GPRS (yuck!) and downloaded my correct information. So, yeah... it appears to work. Just think that the Asian network settings should be smart enough to know that other settings have been accepted and that it should not pop up again without a prompt from me. But, hey, what do I know? I didn't cook the ROM - someone with much more patience and expertise did. :) :o

Nice ROM but you may run into trouble including MS VC since it isn't freeware. Plus the version you have installed does not work with BT headset as far as pressing the headset button nothing happens.

Granted I can fix it by installing the version that does work on top of it but that defeats the purpose.

i think you just only need to be very patient. i have installed V7 and V8 on 2 different hermes and it every time seemd to "hang" on aurora.tsk. but if you just leave it alone for a very long time (10-15 minutes in my case) it should eventually complete installation and restart.

once it is installed this is a real nice and stable ROM. now in V8 video calls are working too.

3. Lovely and quick (like most 6.1 ROMS) and no major oversights noticed or instabilites. (as of yet)

4. Beautiful startup splash screen. ;)

I have been using Faria's R32-Clean ROM for the past month. I have been using your ROM now for just over a day and this ROM seems more stable and just as clean as Faria's. This is the ROM I will be keeping from now on. Great work!!!!

I need some help here and if anyone help me it would be much appreciated. I downloaded _Alex__Arcsoft_MMS_5.0.31.7.cab and installed it but found no mms options through messaging. I then soft reset throught software reset and still found nothing. I am at a loss for this. Is mms hidden different in Wm 6.1. Thanks in advance. What I mean is server settings. Cheers!

Abusalza included an MMS cab with the release to be installed from the MicroSD card automatically on first start. However, it doesn't seem to work for me, either installed from the MicroSD or manually later. Don't know what's going on there...

I am using this ROM too and I can confirm that I don't get this bug. I can take pics in superfine mode.

i agree... i noticed it hanging when I tried to close text messaging, and there was a program running "randomaccess"?.. tried soft reset... but it hard reset itself instead...

and question to if there is a way to install dial pad from ver 7? or atleast point me in derection where to look for it?

I tried many WM pro 6.1 cooked ROM. I found that PDACorner has the following problem: everytime when there's system halt/hang during program running or installing, the system always cannot reboot again. Always need to hard reset and re-install everything. Is there anybody has this same experience? I installed the following programs:
1. CESTAR chinese R3C
2. spb mobile shell 2.0
3. Skype for PPC
4. tom tom
etc...

Just loaded the ROM. Here are my initial impressions...

#1 - This ROM is UC capable, I'd suggest actually using it more. HTC Home, Shaps Advanced Config, Adobe Reader, Office, etc should all be moved the the Cabs directory and installed via UC, not cooked in.
#2 - Upgrade to the newer Network wizard that has more countries in it as posted here.
#3 - By default sync the time via the network (automatic change time zone and clock set.)
#4 - Remove "getting started".

Very good ROM overall so far. Of course I'm only 30 minutes into it.

Well, I've installed the new ROM and for the first 20 minutes it looks like it's working nicely.

I've got the ROM installed and the General UC pack on. Set up my windows live, operator internet settings cab and regional config, even got my SMS restored. All this time I'm happily restarting it both with the reset button and by holding the power button.

Then it crashes, for no apparent reason, whilst in the messaging application, doing different tasks each time. I can't power the device off, so I reset it. It gets back to the HTC 'sunrise' screen and sits there. First time I left it for 10 minutes before I re-flashed, this time I left it for 60, just in case.

Have now tried using mtty task 28 on the device so hopefully should have it working now. Will feedback when I've got some results.

Love what I've seen of the ROM so far, very nicely done.

I have just flashed the V10 and suprisingly this ROM has actually made it till the end. The other previous two (V7 & V8) hang on customizaton screen when the aurora.tsk was installing.

Twenty minutes have passed, and so far so good. Haven't gotten enough time to report on bugs or other, but the ROM seems little slower then the other 19209 ROM I have used in the past week.

Anyways, I will try it and see... Thanks for the ROM, abusalza!

Dude, do some tweaking, I upped the Glyph cache to 128K, and removed a few items from the startup folder and it will rock!!

That's true. I'm not changing everything from htc, for rgu's and initflashfiles. And when we give some tweaking, it will look speedy

Yes, it freeze after SPB mobile shell 2.0 installed. I need to re-install it.:(

Just had a question regarding the difference between PDACorner_Arcsoft_MMS_Split and PDACorner_Arcsoft_MMS_Join in the UC Optional folder. I'm assuming the "Split" has sms and mms joined together.

I also had a question about Phone call,Edge, and 3g data reception with your rom. I have had the same radio since K's final and the 3g reception seemed to be stronger with less dropouts then when i flashed PDACorner.V9. I don't think i need to use network connection wizard since i know how to program the Data settings for my carier Edge Wireless.
Is there a registry tweak i need to do. With the same radio can a different rom change the reception of the device? I've dropped a lot of calls since flashing your rom. Other than that, i am extremely impressed with it, and the UC is an awesome feature to have

With some 6.1 roms you have to flash a official rom first then reflash the 6.1 rom the fix issues with freezing up and a losing everything because of resetting. I had this same issue a few months ago.:cool:

With the v9 ROM my battery will last longer.
When using the v10 ROM I can see the battery draining (from 100% to 40% within 35-40 minutes of use... installing my frequent used programs, rebooting when necerarry.). When I do the same on the v9 ROM my battery will drain about 20% (leaving 80% reserve to phone).

Some things I dislike about the PDACorner ROMS is the Dialer and CommManager... they're old, reminds me of the WM5 Original ROM (a touch-up would be nice :)), If you're European or American you have to install Schap's Setup Operator or some sort because it originally comes with the Asian Operator Selection.

My recommendation is definately the PDACorner v9 ROM.

I've been trying to get the info of changes made to v10 from v9 .. whats the difference? and what about v8?

I have to agree with the previous post in that everything with this rom suites me, except the dialer, comm manager and battery drain. I can't comment on v9 though as I've never tried it. Hoping v11 fixes these issues as this an otherwise solid ROM. Keep up the good work!

I am not too sure that the battery drain is solely down to the ROM as I have cured similar problems to that by reflashing the radio I am using AFTER doing the ROM but I will give my experience after upgrading to v10

After using v9 for a while I was just about to post changes for the next rom and I log in to see you've done v10! Good work!! I see pretty much most of the things have been done, the only things I would add for v11 (not too soon please!:)) are:

1. Update the dialer. I am using the best one I have found on this board. The one where during an incoming call the softkeys give you the option to send the person a txt message and silence the ringer and great caller history. I will post it up later.

2. Update the Comm Manager to Shaps 6/10 button (prefer 6)

3. Change the ugly 3g icon! :)


Having tried pretty much ALL the 6.1 roms this has to be currently the best one available. (UC is excellent!)

I love this ROM. So far is ROCK SOLID, after flashing first the AT&T Official ROM. I like all the features and programs installed, plus the huge storage space. I have installed my kazillion programs, and performance is still the fastest I've seen ever. I have to report only some minor issues:
1. Video Playback in Full Screen (Media Player & Pocket Player), which has been solved (see post above).
2. At random, but quite frequently, Yahoo! fails to automatically logon to my email account and displays the credentials screen. It is kind of annoying, so I disabled the automatic schedule for now. I don't know if it is related to this ROM or a Yahoo issue. I read in the Kaiser forum about a HTTP Digest Implementation Bug causing IMS Authentication failures in build 19209, but have not found a fix for it. Maybe something to look into...
3. At random, HTC HOME will loose the icon of one of the programs in the Programs Tab. I just installed the new HTC Home Cuztomizer (v1.0) and so far has not happened again.
