Just flashed and errored out at 100%. I hit the reset button and it booted fine. So far it's quick.. will leave for the night and let you know more tomorrow when i've run with it a while.

PDAViet's 6.1 ROM for The BA is not faked. I've been using it for a week or two. It's one of the best BA ROMs. For this reason, I might give this one a try.

There is a PDAViet WM 6.0 release for the Blue Angel (I still have my angel) with a faked build number (hex edited to make it look like a later build than it was). Since this build number is later than all the others available, I was wondering if the same thing was done.

If it works, great and dandy. I'm just suspicious of a ROM that's been edited to make it look like it's a later version, and slightly suspicious of any other ROM's from the group or person who did the editing previously. Really, I see no reason to do this, so I have to wonder what the motivation is. :)

I think you're right. I think PDAViet dummied up some earlier WM5 ROMs to make them appear like WM6 when they were not. He may have also copied some of Helmi's stuff and was criticized on this forum.

However, this guy has earned some credit. His WM6.1 for the BA is nothing short of superb. It's the first version which doesn't wake up all the time to keep the bluetooth working. It's simply the most stable WM6 ROM for the BA. Xplode's is good too. Enough about the BA.

I just flashed this ROM to my wife's Hermes. At first I could not connect to AT&T's network at all. Something in the extended ROM was making it so it wouldn't connect. So what I did was go into settings and used the "Clear Storage" function. As it rebooted, I soft reset it so that the contents of the Extended ROM did not load. After that I was able to get the phone signal and configure my device manually for AT&T.

I've flashed a bunch of ROMs on my wife's Hermes. I've only been messing with it for an hour or so but so far everything works and it's fast. I'll post more as I take it through the paces. I really like the threading Text messages. They take up less space and are easier to follow.

After trying this ROM for a day, I find it very fast and stable. The only fault I find is that there's no MMS. I tried to load Arcsoft 5.0.31.7 but it does not show all the settings necessary to us it.

This ROM even works with TCPMP so that one can view videos on YouTube.

Hello, seeing this rom and not knowing who "Viet"(no offense) is, makes me feel like cooking mine up and putting a link from rapishare down 'er.

I do have a suggestion - that all ROM chefs make a post, where they put their Cooking resume down all we can check their credibility (if they cooked it themselves). and also to give us (people who like to use their ROM's a feeling of safety, before actually downloading anything.:)

Just a suggestion.... i hope other's agree with me, considering our hardware.
