.NET framework problem

Today I decided to install one of the ROMs, but I have a problem with NET framework. I had version 1.1 installed and now when I want to install 3.5 or 2.0 everything seems to be ok on the computer, but when installing to TyTn something like this is displayed:

"Unable to install NET because an older version is already installed"

1. does this mean there is older version isstalled on the phone or on the computer
2. if on the phone - how to uninstall it?

If NET 2.0 is installed on my computer and I double-click on *.exe file, the system says to me that I shoul upgrade NET framework to 2.0 - but it is installed on my comp already?!?!?!

Are you talking about .net (pc) or .netcf (Windows mobile)?

Where are you trying to install it from Pocket pc or PC?

I'm trying to install it through PC, but there is an automatic installation going on when I connect TyTn to PC.

Is there anything else I need on my PC except ActiveSync?

Just copy that cab to your hermes and run the cab from the ppc.

So, if exist, why I can't install ROM. I am connected to PC now and when I double clik on "Device Software Update Utility" the message goes:

To run this application, you first must install one of the following versions of the NET Framework: v2.0.50727

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this update must be done through PC or is there one other way?

Is device software update a program you are trying to run on your pc? I f so it sounds like you need to install .net framework onto the pc not the ppc, these are very different.

I tryed both but there always the same problem. First I downloaded this:

And result is the same if I install only CAB on my TyTn.

I try to run RUUWrapper but I'm not sure if I understood your question.

First of all, tried your link, but wouldn't work, but I'm assuming its the correct version from microsoft. This should update no problems if not already installed on pc.

As Mark said, what are you trying to run or acheive?

Ah, ok so your trying to flash a new rom.

In that case then it is an issue with the .net on your pc and not the ppc. Try downloading .net 3 from microsoft ( http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=10CC340B-F857-4A14-83F5-25634C3BF043&displaylang=en) and install that. Ruuwrapper does require at least .net framework 2 on the pc but if your having a problem with .net 2 try .net 3. What operating system are you using?

WIN XP...But - I already installed Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x86) but still got the same message. I'll try something newer but would use a link please.
