View Full Version : Wanted: Automatic Comm Manager

One thing I'm surprised I've not seen for WM is an automatic comms manager.
On an iPhone, if you fire up a browser the phone will check and see if you're in wifi range, and if you are it'll use that. If not, it'll fire up GPRS and connect with that.
I find it pretty irritating that on our WM devices you have to navigate to the comm manager, turn on wifi, etc then turn it off afterwards.
Has anyone come up with an automatic comm manager that'll turn on/off wifi when appropriate?

Someone has solved this with a mortscript. There is a Thread along the line of "list of Mortscripts" under developing and Hacking. Sometimes it is on the 1st page of the search sometimes as far back as the 3rd. At any rate, Once you find it start at the back of the posts(last page) and work your way forward. The Post was farely recent.
Thanks,

I searched this entire thread (phew): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=289197, but couldn't locate this script? Anyone else locate it?
