ok i got one issue...

when i try to use my own ring tones it is very low compare to how it was before...my ringtone is loud so i know its not that...is there a registry that could be edited

Freaking Complainers. This ROM DON'T have mms. You have to get a cab for it.

Hey I'm not normally a complainer but I've been working on this rom for 4 days and that's not putting any of my favorite cabs on my phone. I was just trying to get the rom working at a 100% to truely test it out. Thank you for the cab I'm going to try that cab when I get back to my computer.:D

I'm one not to get in the middle of a squabble, but he's right, MMS doesn't work and it is in the rom. All the ATT settings are right, it's just that when you hit send nothing happens..no data bubble, no notifications..nothing. . I hoped it was a easy fix, but guess not. You definitely know more about the roms than me, after seeing your registry work in a few previous posts. It would be nice to have the mms work that is cooked in the rom instead of installing a cab. Do you have any ideas what it could be? Maybe it's something missing in the registry.

well. i got that one on my 8525 and is working with no problems. It's just the mms not including the sms

Yes, that's what happens. Outbox then nothing. It's like it's not getting a command to start the data sending process.

I recomed you to use this cab. Some times manually settings for mms won't work like is supose to.

See dude its not me I told you I read the thread backwards and forwards and I had did everything that everyone had said to do but the only thing that work is the cab that you said. So thanks for helping but like I said there no need to put anyone front street do you feel me.

By the way for anyone who is still having issues with MMS all you have to do is install the cab thats in post #247 and rerun the Connection setup on your pda that is localed in start/setting/connections and your all set.:D

Odd occurrence...could use some guidance, also.

So I tested out all my of my programs and decided to HR and start from scratch in case some of the programs I uninstalled had some remains in the ROM. So I HR...then re-install the ROM (Professional Version).

Now, I cannot find my activesync icon in /windows, /windows/programs or /windows/programs/connections.

Does any know where else it could be so I can cut and paste it?

BTW, activesync did connect through "set up an email" in the Getting Started menu. It is showing in task manager but I cannot find it anywhere!

A couple bugs I've noticed in this build -

1. Cannot sync with Exchange 2007 server. Constantly getting error synchronizing. Tried the Cingular MediaNet v2 cab, didn't fix it.

2. The keyboard driver is off on the FUNCTION keys. (Function+Q displays "!" instead of "~") This is true of at least 6 keys.
Fixed this by changing the Keyboard Layout to "AT&T/Cingular"

Still trying to find root cause on #1. - the error code is 85010013, which is a generic HTTP error.
I found the root cause. - Exchange 2007 Doesn't think the device is 'provisionable' so it denies the connection. HOWEVER - IT DID ENFORCE the security polices properly.... So there's probably a bit that needs to be flipped that says "I provisioned myself as you asked..."

Could you please research why this flavor of 6.1 doesn't think the device is compliant? Did you remove a reg key somewhere?

Don't get me wrong, this version seems nice and fast, and very stable, however, after 4 or 5 days, it starts acting stupid. The funny thing is it is something slightly different each burn. The initial burn goes great, seems to run great fro about 4 or 5 days, then options disappear, or programs won't load, or...the latest straw, the damn thing just hung up. On SOFT reset, it locked repeatedly at the TNT screen. When it did start (after soft reset again) it started as if I just burned it, wiped all my contacts (thank god for PIM) and reinstalled itself!! I have re-burned AT&T wm6 between the last 2 TNT burns, so I don't think it is file corruption from previous burns. I dunno. Was quite impressed with this build, but afraid I'll have to go with another.

Personally i think the most "Stable" no grief WM6.1 build is Faria's R-32.

But I really think this one the the best looking out there (The new HTC home I really like), so I have perservered and found fixes for everything ive been looking for.

Its a great ROM. The next one will be even better im sure!

I'm using Radio 1.51 and for some reason, it says i'm connected to the 3G network, but when i go to Comm Manager i dont have the option of turning off 3G.

When i go through the Phone settings i can change my settings from Auto to go to GSM which disables it, but i'd rather have the option to turn it on when i need it and off to save battery life.

If anybody has any ideas why i dont see the option in comm manager to turn it off let me know

to all users have freezing or something like that, try to reflash an official rom then reflash this rom (tested with some others have the same issues, then all their issues have been fixed)

I have flashed to a generic official DOPOD rom (radio + rom) and then re-flashed with the TNT. It crashed on boot screen upon my 3rd soft-reset. It hard-reset/crashed several times as well before trying to flash an official ROM.

Man, I'm so bummed, this ROM was great when it worked. I remember the TNT roms from last summer as well were awesome.

ThanksThey are probably not enabled in the ROM's registry settings.

Take a look at shaps advanced config. There is a setting screen that will allow you to enable/disable various buttons in the comm manager.

Faria's rom would either crash somewhat early after the installation, or it would never crash (since I tried other roms that crashed and went back to Faria)

I tried Pay's WM6.1 ROM and this one didnt crash a single time!!! (usually all 6.1 rom would give me a crash at least on first attempt)

This is the best ROM I've used, and I've used Faria's.

Granted, you do HAVE to read through this thread for the various after-tweaks to make it perfect, but there were certain issues that I encountered with Faria's that remained unresolved; for instance, message picker - always defaulted to txt mail. Also, BT was flaky un Faria's, and this might just be me.

This ROM is probably the last ROM I will ever load onto my phone. Getting bored with flashing every few days, and now I really don't see a need to.

Firstly, congratulations on a fine looking upgrade.

Works great but i have noticed it's a little slower than the last one but not to worry.

I do have 3 questions and was hoping someone could help.

1. Contacts scroll:
- When you first enter contacts, the default view setting is that is shows both the Alphabetical Index and the handy A-Z scroll on the right hand side.
- As I only want only the names showing, I tick the "Show contact names only" box, only to find now the handy A-Z scroll on the right hand side has disappeared.
- It will only reappear if I untick "Show alphabetical index"
- I know it doesn't make sense to have both, but there's a method to my madness....

2. Contacts screen
- I noticed that without the "Alphabetical Index" showing at the top of the contacts screen, some contacts can get hidden between screens especially when you use the scroll wheel.
- Is there some way to fix this so that contacts (no matter what size lettering you use) can be clearly displayed on the screen?
- Finally, i also noticed that when the Contacts screen is in the landscape position, the A-Z scroll on the right hand side disappears - is there any fix for this as well?

3. Comms Manager
- When the update was first installed, i noticed a new button which allowed you to switch the phone back to GSM
- The Comanager Setting screen does not show this button so after you customise it to include the buttons you want, the GSM button disappears.
- Where is it hiding?

Hi all,

After I installed & upgraded my ROM to the TNT I started facing this problem which is whenever i switch the camera to save on my memory card the number of pictures remaining decreases but i still cant find the pix but when i switch back the camera to save on my phone memory i can easily find them under my pix.

Has anyone faced this problem b4 or not or how can i find these saved pix as i m sure they are saved somewhere but i cant find them even when i searched the whole files on the memory card.

i think a good idea is the programm that i open is everytime in the cache
but is better when after open and close the programm nomore in today list and in the cache is this possible.

Two of us have tried this ROM on 8525's with the 1.54 radio and have encountered an issue with radio stability.

We get extended periods where the radio status shows as no service. Soft Resets or power downs don't seem to fix the problem.

Different locations and the same result, even in areas where coverage has not been a problem.

Any suggestions?

could some of you meantion their 3rd party apps to figure out the source of this issue!!!

i'm sure that the reason is incompatibility with 19199 build (especially for today plug-in 3rd party apps)

but it is a good step to check them with vanilla version.

I got terrible issues with the pro version and yes I decided to revert back to your WM6.0 rom before reading the whole thread for solutions. I always install TodayAgenda as my today plugin besides HTC Home. And that's it.
Must say that the last times I couldn't even sync my contacts and appointments after a hard-reset without my Hermes locking up.

Hope you resolve all the Wm6.1 eventually. I'm going to wait a while to try again.

To end possitive: the Pro version looks very good, it's fast and got a lot of nice features so I really regret the instabillity.

I've been working with tt on this and we've found that if you switch to the attached CINGULAR WAP settings that it fixes the problem with some of the apps not connecting correctly (namely MobiTV and XMRadio), but still problems with TomTom and SlingPlayer. Both will try to initiate the connection, but it always tries to do it through the ISP instead of the MediaNet settings that are there.

TomTom is solved by deleting the cingular proxy server but we still have the Network Searching error where it never seems to lock in on the network

Overall a great ROM thanks, but a small WiFi problem.

Actually, the WiFi connection is fine, I able to connect to my router, obtain an address, etc. but if I try to use Explorer it give me an error message "The page cannot be displayed because the connection was lost. Please try again." In the recent past (e.g. a few months ago) I've used Starbase and Schaps ROMs without this problem; is there a specific radio revision I need to use or setting that I missed, thanks?

Anyone else having active sync problems?

I got a new handheld through warranty replacement and went through the whole process: SIM unlocking the phone, Hard SPL, flashing to factory ROM, then flashing TNT, then upgrading radio...

Worked flawlessly for 3 days...Now all of a sudden AS will not connect. You can here the connection sound and the battery will charge but AS will not kick in or attempt to connect.

I've tried it on 3 different computers...and still nothing.

My questions are:

1) Is there a registry hack or a place that I look in the registry or possibly a missing ROM file???

2) I started using a non-ATT and non-HTC wall charger...could this have caused it?

I've never had this issue.

If I can't get it figured out, I guess I'll re-flash....again...

I did read the whole thread before installing this rom update. Infact the first time itself I had flashed it on the official rom. I reflashed it with the official rom and tried but everytime I face the same problem.

Dont worry now I have removed it and put schap's lite which is way better.

Now for another question. When i make a phone call my phone always vibrates when the party i'm calling picks up. Is there anyway to turn that off ?? I tried looking but i dont see that option anywhere.

If I remember correctly the vibrating setting is from a program called Firewall, the icon for which is an orange-ish phone that appears in the bottom tray. Open that program and there is an option to disable the vibrating when a call is received.

I cant seem to find the fix for this issue from searching and reading these forums however I just setup a texting plan on ATT with mms in the plan and I cant seem to get it to send or recieve and mms messages. It's not a "problem". It's a feature of the ROM.

Try Advanced Config. I'm not sure if you can disable it or not though.

Firstly I must admid that it is a very good rom with major needed software in it. It is running amazingly fast. However I encountered some problem. It randomly crash without particular reason and cannot be systematically resolved. The most serious problem is sometime when the maching got hanged up, then I soft reset it, and it got stuck up in the first welcome screen. All I can do after all is to hard reset.

As this is one of the very few roms which can access 3 HK portal (the website somehow recognize the device id, but change the ID to Dopod838pro cannot help). I am really longed to see an updated version which get rid of the instabilities.

I've loaded more than 30 ROM's looking for just the right base (read that "with almost everything I want in a ROM, and without my having to get a "close" one and reinvent the wheel") where I only have to add a few things to make it personal. Congratulations on your good work.

Sorry everyone, this is new to me! I mean cooking a ROM. I was trying to do the following:
" User Customization is a config.txt file that's located on an SD card which can install cab & xml files located there too! Think about it: this gives anyone who loads your rom the ability to automatically install their preferred apps/settings as part of customization. Here's how to make your next ROM UC capable:
> Cook the attached SDAutoRun.exe into \windows

The thing is a copied the autorun file to my \windows directory but when flashing the ROM it was gone and the original ROM 6.0 Dopod was installed.

I figure I have to cook a new ROM to include autorun in it so it runs right after flashing, but I have no clue on how to do that? How can I make autorun run right after flashing the ROM? Or how can I make SDautorun run right after flashing the ROM? I don't have a registry editor to lax the security!

I though vp3G would be the ROM for me, but I always had a few nagging problems. So I thought I'd try this one. Geez, am I glad I did. You are probably sick of heaering this by now, but GREAT JOB! This ROM has everything and it's lightning fast. Here's some feedback for you based on what I have found so far:
* Skype 2.2.0.37 works! This didn't work on vp3G - I had to use 2.2.0.20-Beta.
* Button 3 (press and hold) does not work, yet Button 3 press works fine.
Note: These buttons were added after installing vp3G_PTT_Reassign.cab
* Connecting to a shared network drive using WiFi does not work (ie. \\COMPUTER\drive). Somebody else in the forum posted the same issue. I presume it's an issue with the WM 6.1 build. I've tried everything from disabling proxies to only using the Work connection, but nothing works. I had this working on vp3G with no problems using Resco File Explorer. Has anybody else had any luck?
* No lockups so far - I moved to Radio 1.48 since I had problems with 1.54 radio switching betweem UTMS and GSM
* Bluetooth connects perfectly to my Acura ;)
* I love the Advanced Config. It would be great if this also had the ability to specify the mail storage directory (ie. the AttachPath and PropertyPath values for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Settings)
* The Comanager setting is also nice for customization, even if the 3G Icon (that appears by default after installation) changes to a different "Data Connection" icon after making a change.

I can't wait for the new build! Keep up the excellent work :)

I think the volume is ok, however, one annoying feature of the HTC Large Title Bar (you know - clicking on the title bar produces a bubble instead of opening the item), is that during a call, scrolling the scroll button doesn't raise or lower the volume. You might be trying to raise the volume with nothing happening. I personally disabled this feature because of exactly this - couldn't easily raise the volume during a call.

To disable, start the reg editor, go to HKLM>Services and delete the entry called something like "Large Title Bar".

All what you have to do is to remove key HKLM\Services\LargeTitleBar
using for instance Total Commander.

Soft reset and your v6 ROM is useful again!!!

I had no problem with hearing when I had this rom. I hope your not going deaf:D It could be that your speaker is going out. Try another rom and see.

With some 6.1 roms you have to flash a official rom first then reflash the 6.1 rom the fix issues with freezing up and/or losing everything because of resetting.

This still the best ROM I've used.

I was reluctant to even update to the latest, but di just for the heck of it. Still solid.

I actually use a lot of different mobile devices as part of my job and have to admit, flashing all the time does get old. Having a ROM that let's me use my phone for everything, and then some, as it's meant to be, is more than a convenience. At this point, it is required because as exciting as all thes ROM's are, some of them can affect reliability of just having a fully functional phone.

None of that here, and my phone always works.

The ONLY thing missing IMHO is a battery meter that shows battery percentage. Not a huge deal, but that is the only thing I feel I'm miisig at this point.

I have problem with time and clock. My time and clock are always in 12 hours mode. I want to set it on 24h mode. When i am calling somebody at upper right corner clock is showed like 07:20 but right is 19:20 - My regional settings are fine and set for my country witch is Serbia. I also have problem when i use call logs, i dont have right time of calls. Third problem is with alarm :) he always display 12h mode. how to solve this problem?

I wasn't talking about ring tone, but the short vibrate which arrives when I call, when the communication is done.

EDIT: for the vibration during a call, I've just found the answer. This is the integrated tool Pocket Max Redial, it was on "vibrate" when Connect...

I've no answer for my sms notifications for vocal messages, this is always one name contact for all vocal messages.

Work in TCPMP but TCPMP doesn't show thumbnails, which makes it not very convenient for numerically named files.

Does somebody have a phone service incident yesterday night?

Very strange, it was working perfectly, I hadn't done nothing yesterday with the rom, and the phone service had been interrupted with reason.

- So I've tested my sfr phone card in another phone and it worked.
- I've tested another sfr phone card in my tytn, service phone out.
- Soft reset, problem no solved.
- Hard reset, problem solved.
- I've restored a backup of the present rom made ten days before, problem came back (ten days ago I had no problem with the rom).
- New hard reset, new restore with the same backup, problem solved.

What can explain this?

I posted this before, is anyone having an issue where the flash option does not show up when you use the camera? When I go to the options and try to turn it on nothing happens. But the icon is not on the camera to beginin with to turn the flash on "on the fly"


Any help on this? I really don't want to install a program for the camera when I could just use the default one.

I had to replace it through Activesync, but it works great! My intermediate workaround was to change the mp4 file association to TCPMP, and I think I'll leave it that way. I didn't think it would but it even works in the included "Pictures & Videos" browser application, but it's nice to have the option, plus changing the file associations for ALL video formats would be time consuming. Thank you for the quick fix!

Uninstalled the A2DP fix, and now almost everything is perfect. I was using MagicButton for a long time, but WKTask is an excellent upgrade.

I've been using build 19701 for a week now, and this is the best build yet. It's extremely fast, stable, and fixed the wireless drive sharing issues found in build 19199. Skype also works better than ever!

I think I agree with you, I have used only TNT roms with my phone, but I am having issues I have posted with no reply. I need to use a flash on my phone but nothing, took about a week to figure out the MMS issue after I posted it way before the topic came by someone else and everyone jumped on it.

I just switched to TNT for the first time on my tytn. I used TNT on my wizard for a long time. Problem is, i can't hear anything.. most cooks have been using setaccousticparam for quite some time now but i dont see it in TNT. Can we fix this in the next build version? I loved the rom, but not hearing people speak to me is a slight issue. I've abondoned this rom until this issue is resolved.

I keep getting an issue with the new combined volume/data/reception thingy. When I go to change volume and I've not got a 2G/3G connection open, the bubble opens to allow to select the volume control from the three options then disappears and is replaced with a white notification bubble with the following message.


There are no data sessions active. Programs connect automatically as needed. To change connections settings, tap settings.

If you need to replicate it just turn phone to flight mode and click volume you will see what i mean.

Is this a bug or do is there something I can turn off to get rid of this

Used this rom for a few days now with no major problems! great work!! i always liked the tnt roms with the wizard and now my hermes.

The only things wrong is the network plugin wont work. when open it up tick the box to enable folder then asks to reboot. reboot done check file explorer no network folder!?! open network plugin again box is still checked. go in to map new drive finds my pc, but will only show pc not any of my shared folders tried this on 2 different pc's with same result. i was using network the day before i flashed this rom and havent changed any thing on pc. any suggestions:confused:????? i even tried installing another network plugin cab with same result.


2nd is mms is not workin nothing in or out. when try 2 send a mms i acts like a text and appears like it sent but never makes it to sent folder or sends.
settings r all correct there the same settings i've been using for a couple years now!! pretty much know them by heart now from flashing all the time!!:p

I've been using build 19701 for a week now, and this is the best build yet. It's extremely fast, stable, and fixed the wireless drive sharing issues found in build 19199. Skype also works better than ever!

I have only a little problem (well, problem isn't the correct word).. the Start bar is managed by a good program that minimize or close program.. how can I get the setting page for this??? The first time, I tried to tap and hold on the X button and setting page appeared, then I've done some changes (the only I did was "Hold the X to close programs").. but now I cannot enter in the setting page because if I tap and hold the X the program closes and I have no settings page!!!

SOLVED.. but in a different way :D

the strange thing is that when i clicked on it the setting page opened.. and then in Programs page appeared 2 new icons: WkTASK Launcher and WkTASK :confused:

well, no problem, I disabled it and put HTC task Manager 2.0 (that I prefer)



I have another problem.. I cannot receive and send MMS message!!! I'm going to read this thread, maybe I will find the solution.. if somebody want to tell me how to fix it now... I will not loose half a hour reading :p

ps. I'm keeping the BEAM on and I notice the battery goes down very fast... is Beam the problem??

Didn't have that problem when I was with TNT, this ROM is old now, may be you should try the active chef's ROMS, on the first page.

To fix the MMS go to page 9 and download the cab, install it then do the connection set up again and it works.

Hi, thank you for the TNT series, I have the older version and loved it. i have downloaded all three versions for the 19199 series but the RUU file doesnt want to open, it says " RUU.exe - Application Error, The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). "

What might be the problem? This same error is give on trying to launch the Vinilla, Official and Professional versions:(

I have this rom on my old hermes, recently added to my new one. For some reason, my conversations in SMS are not stored and available, like on my old phone with this rom. They dissapear upon soft reset. Except for the first one that i sent after I installed the new rom, which will reappear upon each soft reset even though i have deleted it and cleared sms/mms. any suggestions? is there a setting I am missing? Also, is there any way to set the IE expolorer to shut down when i push end, istead of having to go back to the task manager each time?
