I think Pdaviet has some data connection cab or software in the extended rom that was not compatible with the AT&T network. What I did was went into settings and clicked the clear memory which resets the device. As rebooted, I soft reset just as it started loading the contents of the extended rom. I was then able to key in my AT&T data settings. The ROM worked wonderfully. I think it is the first version that I'm using.

I like pdaviet ROMs very much. They're fast and have exactly what I want in them. I'm using the his roms on my BA and Hermes. I want to try his WM6.1 ROM for the TyTN II aka Kaiser but I cannot figure out the Vietnamese language on his website. Can you post his latest WM6.1 ROM on the Kaiser forum?
Thanks, in advance.

rambo6,
thanks for your info, I will try again. I did run “Padviet” on Wizard before and I enjoyed.
Now I’m on Abusalza and no problems.

Flashed this one last night & it's running well so far, still trying to figure out if the "Quick Launcher" is customiseable to my other apps. This Rom is really fast...& I'm growing to like it.

Hi there. Surely enough when I install PDAviet's release, which I love btw, using any modern RADIO ROM it seems, after it installs the extended ROM utils, connectivity goes byebye. So I saw this post and decided hell, I should
delete the stuff in the extended ROM, likely isn't needed
for this, and I have tried like 6 different methods of
getting it unhidden for 3 hours and was about to throw
everything out the window, I CANNOT UNHIDE THE FILES
IN THE EXTENDED ROM AREA! It shows up by default
in File Manager but the files are hidden. I have tried
registry hacks, the unlocker cabs, even CID unlock
procedure again WHICH yielded a workaround that got
the RADIO going again as the v3a CID unlocker installs
an ancient RADIO ROM, 1.16.0, which seems to make the
unit happy on AT&T... Attempts at putting anything like
1.47.30 on there yield the same inability to connect after
the extended ROM stuff installs during a hard reset.
So, apparently you found a way around this but what you
mentioned here didn't seem to jive for me. How do you
get it to permanently not install the extended ROM stuff?
Any ideas on how to actually get the extended ROM
area unhidden so I can just delete it anyway?
Any help appreciated, thanks. I have a Softbank X01HT.

You're working too hard. All you have to do is to hard rest. During the boot process when it gets to loading the extended rom, soft reset. It will boot again without the extended rom. It won't try to load the extended ROM again unless you hard reset again.
I don't know how to unlock the extended ROM. There are methods of unlocking the extended ROM. I haven't used them.

Any idea what the differences are compared to his previous release?
Quite different, figured out that PDA-Viet is a forum with many cooks all with their own flavours just like here at XDA-devs............

How in the world is it loading this stuff? No clue I gave up..

You can load cabs/xml at first startup within the \Windows directory also or any other directory.
Here is the preconfig.txt file in PDAviet's rom:
LOCK:Enabled
EXEC:\Windows\SetHSDPA.exe /Enable
XML: \Windows\P_DisableIdleModeText_For120.xml
XML: \Windows\P_Generic_Conn_Setting.xml
XML: \Windows\P_Other_Conn_Settings.xml
XML: \Windows\P_Others(Conn_Setting)_Add_band.xml
XML: \Windows\P_Others(Conn_Setting)_Enable_NITZ.xml
Hide:Enabled
LOCK:Disabled
RST: Reset
The reason you won't able to get connection is that he changed the band setting not to auto but to a bad that is not supported in the U.S. or most parts of the states. You can unlock the ext rom and use the free 10mb space without worrying about destroying something in the rom.

Is anyone seeing a problem with the keyboard maping. The normal buttons work but most of the symbols(use the blue dot key) are incorectly mapped.
I'm useing the test 4 rom.
Also you can use the "Network Wizard" under connections in the settings menu to automaticly detect your data settings for your network.
MMS is not on the phone however. Internet works but no MMS. Any ideas?

Thanks. Registry fix worked. MMS app didn't. I try Arcsoft v5 and it would let me send MMS but they would never be received on the target phones.
