hi, ive just got my orbit 2 (polaris) and the screen isnt deadcentre (shifted to right). having already returned one handset due to screen being on the piss and jogwheel on the piss, im reluctant to return this one as all is wrong is screen position, and could end up with something else wrong!!

so, is there a tweak or something (like popup on lcd monitor screens) to adjust horizontal position!?? has to be, right??

cheers and hello all!! :D

The screen is off center? I can only imagine that this is a hardware fault, that the actual screen has been mounted by some very tired worker at HTC...
AFAIK there is no screen centering utility, only touchscreen alignment which has nothing to do with how the graphics get displayed. So unless anybody contradicts me, you have to return the unit. I'm sorry you got two feckupped devices in a row. I wished the quality would be a little more satisfying.

Hi all, now I have a similar problem, and looking for an application capable of moving the screen around. A friend of mine fell over my netbook, and now I got the LCD broken. It's a 1024x600 resolution. The broken area is at the left, like the first 224 pixels, therefore I belive that setting the screen rez to 800x600 then moving it 224 pixels to the right would be a nice way to keep it working (it's my wife's netbook) while I manage other ways to buy a new screen and change it. But I can't find any utility that does it. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. Flávio
